Re: Splinter Cell Conviction (360 & PC)

Was gonna cave on a new copy, but went by gamestop on way home from lunch and they had just got a used copy in.

Just spent the past hour or so playing coop with EG. What a fun game to play! All the different modes. Was an absolute blast.

    Haven't even touched story yet.

They send an e-mail. Also, whenever it ships it automatically moves from your GameQ to your Games Out section at the of the GameQ page.

Ubisoft adopts 'wait and see' approach to Splinter Cell on PS3

Ubisoft has declared that fans will just have to sit tight and wait to see what the company comes up with in regards to the possibility of a PlayStation 3 version of Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Despite some poking and prodding from the chaps at VG247, the company wouldn’t say one way or the other as to whether or not the stealth ‘em up would make its way to Sony’s black box.

“We’ll have to see what decisions are made by Ubisoft’s management in the future,” said the game’s creative director, Maxime Beland. “The decision for Conviction was purely a business move. Microsoft have been wonderful in their support for Conviction.”

Despite this, a couple of CV entries that eagle-eyed web browsers have spotted recently seem to indicate that a PS3 version of Conviction is currently in development.

They actually sent me 2. The sent one to tell me it was shipped from the Texas center and then another to ask when it came in. I may actually go out and buy this game now. It's sooooo sick! But, I want the beta code for GRAW2.

There is no code. It's a piece of paper that says...

                    Instructions:

                    1. Insert your Splinter Cell Conviction game disc.
                    2. Register on UPlay using the Splinter Cell Conviction UPlay menu choice.
                    3. Exit the UPlay menu and return to the Splinter Cell menu.
                    4. You are now registered. You will be informed when the beta is ready for access by email.

                    5. When beta access opens you will recieve an email at the adress provided during registration.
                    6. Insert your Splinter Cell Conviction game disc in your Xbox 360 system and log in to your UPlay account.
                    7. The Ghost Recon beta option should now appear in your Splinter Cell menu.

It's okay, but it's definitely NOT splinter cell.

I have two big problems with it, neither of which have anything to do with length.

                        1) the puzzle aspect of splinter cell is gone. I feel like in conviction I always know exactly where to go and what to do. Splinter Cell was never about big set pieces, but this one is more CODMW2 in that regard. There are a ton of big set piece moments that just feel out of place. also, the interrogations from past splinter cells were much better, as they usually brought some humor to the proceedings. the interrogations here, while brutal, are limited by invisible walls and limited interactivity. also, they are very canned, and there's never a question of whether or not you're going to get the answers you need. It's kinda like in austin powers 2 (i think), where if you ask the guy the same question 3 times, he will always answer.

                        2)

I've been putting some time into the Story on Normal. If I beat it on normal I'll be satisfied with my investment. The trick is doing it in 7 days...

It shouldn't be long Dookie. You know you can search stores in your area's used inventory with the gamestop website right?

I know it may make the drive a little longer, but usually if you explain the situation they might hold something behind the counter for you for 30 min or so if you call.
