We should get something going tomorrow or Saturday. The only OSers I've had a chance to play with so far are Candyman and Bcruise.

It is quite a shock to see 50 of those ugly-*** roaches suddenly pop up in your base.Last edited by bcruise; 08-13-2010, 01:25 AM.Comment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
People who have the retail version should have a few guest passes. I have the digital copy so I didn't get any but perhaps someone can hook you up.
I'm not an Achievement runner or anything but I did get all the Mar Sara achievements. Not the best way to spend the afternoon but the Adjutant avatar makes it worth it.Last edited by MachoMyers; 08-13-2010, 12:13 PM.Comment

Saturday should work for me, too. Be up early to watch the Premier League, but should be done with that by about noon PST, and clear rest of the day.
Should definitely get a big game going. Used to get some crazy attacks going back in the day when the races were diverse, and the voice chat should make coordinating those that much easier.PSN: TheEnglishHombreComment

Re: Starcraft II Officially Announced
So is trying to do a zergling or marine/marauder (and possibly siege tank and medivac) rush the only strategy people online know now? Seems like it. And when they do it they:
A) Overrun you because you don't have enough fighting units.
B) Kill your workers and pretty much end the match.
C) You hold them off and as soon as you get a base defense properly set up and a medium sized army to attack its over because they've wasted all their resources.
Also whats with people trying to rush to the golden mineral deposits and not build up there original base. Seriously, one guy I played against lifted off his command center at the beginning and flew it to one of those bases.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Best way for me to defend both of them (as Terran, anyway), is to keep all my buildings close to the CC, get a barracks up ASAP, and then drop a bunker right in the middle of my mineral line. Once that fills up with marines, that line is pretty safe from early rushes. Depending on where the buildings are placed the bunker might protect all of them too. The SCV's have to take some alternate routes to get around that bunker, but I think the added protection is worth a VERY slightly slower economy. Finally, once the early rush threat is clear, Terran can salvage that bunker and gain the minerals back that were used to create it!
Thing is though, I really don't like playing no-rush games on those resource loaded custom maps either. They are all about just walling in until you get a force of 200 units, then unloading and seeing who destroys the other's base first. I think expanding is a critical part of the game, and those maps just kill that.Comment
