Re: Call of Juarez
I like good old-fashioned pistol shootouts so I enjoyed this one. Single-player was fine except for the stealth sequences. They weren't overly frustrating or anything.
I just really don't care for stealth sequences where being unstealthy = immediate failure.Comment

Re: Call of Juarez
Same here man, same here. I love western movies and we've really not seen enough western games. Red Dead was decent, Gun was good but short. I want SUNSETRIDERS on the VC for the Wii. I spent so much money on Sunsetriders back in the day.Comment

Re: Call of Juarez
I think it could be a really cool concept. Make it wide open but with heavy consequences for certain actions. Shoot someone in cold blood, you'll have every bounty hunter and marshal in the West hunting you down.
Choose to be a sheriff, bounty hunter, gambler, gunslinger for hire, whatever.
Get in bar fights, get drunk, steal horses, protect citizens, mine gold, steal gold, hunt down Indians, BE an Indian, etc. The options are endless.
The thought of having a GTA-type, online western game would be right up my alley.
dave360, I don't think I've ever played that game. What was the game like?Comment

Re: Call of Juarez
I went and got it on PC after reading this (didn't even know it was out) and actually really enjoy it. Kind of cheesy in parts, but it's some pretty good fun. I like the shifting perspectives back and forth, and some of the control mechanics (a strange twist on the "focus time" and whatnot where you have to maneuver the moving crosshairs in slow mo and fire off shots before they converge and time speeds up again, for example) are pretty cool. The duels have been fun so far, and I'm pleasantly surprised.
Now why in the HELL hasn't any developer with an ounce of brainpower made a western MMO. Perfect settings. Cowboys, Indians, Army, Law Enforcer factions. It's like the world's perfect setting for open conflict and wide open chaos, yet we don't have one.Comment

Re: Call of Juarez
I can't wait for this game on 360. It's a first day purchase for me, I love the western setting. One of the few games I've actually finished on the 360 was GUN, so I really want to get this one.Favorite Sports Teams

Re: Call of Juarez
Same here man. I'm a total nut for westerns and really feel like the western genre in gaming has been undeveloped. Are there any western type games that have multiplayer right now?Comment

Re: Call of Juarez
I don't know of any but if you happen to find one, plz PM me or reply here, whatever. I really love games set in the old west. I actually bought Civil War for the 360 mainly because of the era it was set in. I'd like to try Darkwatch, but the premise seems a little over the top. Anybody played Darkwatch on the original XBox or PS2?Favorite Sports Teams
