Did they show the girl? Was it the same one from the gameplay demo? I didn't like her. I liked the first one from the audition.

I gotta find a way to play this without giving Sony any money.

They mostly showed a new character who is an FBI agent. They also did give a sneak peak at what they will be showing at E3, which had the girl from that gameplay demo that isn't even in the game. They showed her in a night club, also showing her about to give somebody a lap dance. Heavy Rain will have sex and nudity.

The game just sounds better and better, I just hope it lives up to it as David Cage does have a bit of Molyneux in him.

I also hope it gets a good push in the media and garners enough sales as to push this type of adult (not in a pornographic way) oriented game.

That'd be neat if she didn't look like a guy or at least a very "butch" girl.
Gameplay looks good though,like a modern day Dragon's Lair that doesn't suck.

Yeah, and they did Indigo Prophecy similarly and it was fun (though the plot went wacky near the end sadly). This is a cool way to bring the "adventure" point and click type investigation to this gen, while providing an interactive type movie (investigation slow search gameplay, intense interactive movie scene gameplay, etc).

Omikron (Quantic Dreams' first game) did similar, though it did action sequences in a more conventional way. Along with Sentient (Psygnosis, now SCE Liverpool), they are two of the most woefully overlooked games of the late 90's.

Heavy Rain Pushed Back 2010?

On the latest episode of the GameTrailers TV show at roughly 19 minutes 30 seconds, it is reported by the presenter, Geoff Keighley, that the eagerly awaited Heavy Rain will be coming “next year”. Was this a simple slip of the tongue, maybe he simply meant “over the next year” or something similar? If so, this could mean an even longer wait for PlayStation fans who have been watching this title progress from the brilliant teaser shown a couple of years ago.

It had been thought that the game might be seeing its exclusive debut on the PlayStation 3 some time in 2009, the video shows off some of the bits from the recently released trailer, along with some other new bits.

Leaving Heavy Rain behind for a moment, there’s also a glimpse of the next Gears of War 2 DLC.

Considering the mess that Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy turned into because development was rushed to get it out by a set release date, I say push it back if need be.
