It certainly picks up later. I don't recall playing time but this is one game that should NOT be missed if you enjoy the whole "amazing story" kind of thing in video games.

It's completely engrossing and really grabs a hold of you.

Perhaps you'll change your tune once you take a shower (in the game).

Yeah, I'm a big fan of games where it's about the story and experience, rather than just blowing up everything in sight. I'm going to get the Director's Cut after I finish Uncharted 3.

Glad to hear the game picks up the deeper you get into it. Again, hard to judge after an hour of play, so I'll be looking forward to really diving into the game.

This game is unbelievable, probably the best story mode based game I've ever played. I never had The Move when I played so I might re-buy to use it with that, or just buy it to beat it 4 times again. A must have for any PS3 user.

Yeah, the beginning is pretty much a tutorial to familiarize yourself with the controls. There are very few slow spots moving forward. It's a great experience IMO.

Like a few others said it starts off a little slow and picks up as it goes. The starting out slow does set a pace for things that happen later on so it will all make sense in the end. Since you love games about the story then it a must.

It doesnt take all that long to play through im guessing 8hour ish but there is replay value to it. I've played through it twice and will do it prob one more time.

I still remember sitting there going "I'm sitting here brushing my teeth for crying out loud, this game blows" then I got into it and it was one the best gaming experiences I have had. Ended up loving it!

Yeah it was short and not the greatest value from money in regards to playing time per $ spent but the gameplay it did have made it all worth it for me and the story was awesome and really sucked me in.

I thought the same thing when I started. I started playing Saturday and I'm currently on chapter 40. I will probably finish tomorrow night.

I can see myself playing it again , just to see what happens when I make different decisions

I started this yesterday. I tried the move but didn't really like it. I like the controller better.

Anybody get that Oragmi thingy done right on the install screen? Mine came out looking a bit like this.

Mine came out well... but it did take me two tries IIRC.

This is still one of the most immersive games I have ever played.

Immersive is a perfect word for this game. So cool, and the soundtrack... wow. It keeps me on the edge of my seat!
