I'll check out gamefaqs.com as well. Especially when I think I know what I'm doing, but it's not working.

For example, in Splinter Cell, I thought I needed to make a certain jump to move on in the level. But I couldn't actually make the jump. So instead of wasting more time trying to make a jump that might be a red herring, I checked in at gamefaqs to see if I'm on the right track.

no guides for me either. i dont use cheats too. one of my friends from a year ago, used cheats to beat grand theft auto and used the guide to beat final fantasy X.
anyway, i just hooked up my n64 about a week ago, looking for things to do, sice i cant go outside or anything because of my back. i was playing zelda, which i beat like 3 years ago, and i am now starting mario over. i never got more than 50 stars in that game!
