Re: Bioshock Post Release discussion (360/PC)

Played for only about an hour and a half, but so far this game is one of the best I've played in a while.

If I didn't have class tomorrow, I would still be playing. Great pacing, frantic action, and so many ways to battle. There are so many different ways of going about attacking the foes.

I absolutely love it. Everyone should check it out.

Does this game get scarier and jumpier as it progresses? I just got to Neptune's Landing and already had a few frightening moments (that scene in the funeral parlor...indescribable).

Seriously, if it gets any worse I'll have to leave the lights on!

Also, I have to learn how to take down the Big Daddies. I died three/four times the first time (used the Vita-tube things)! Don't know what strategy other than guns blazing to use!

Plus the electricity to stun them.

If you have the shotgun with the electrical bullet, even better.

One question, there was a Little Sister with a Big Daddy, I killed the Big Daddy but cannot find the Little Sister. Guess she went inside that hole. Do I just come back to area later or how do I get her to come out?

EDIT: Never mind, I got it.

I honestly thought you guys were being a bunch of little girls talking about this game.

              But, I understand now.

Well I'm done for tonight. I was suppose only play for 2-3 hours but that turned into 5 and a half hours. Now I shall sleep less than I played.

                Damn you Bioshock...

Time seems to fly when playing this game! I tried to play 45 minutes before work tonight - ended up being an hour and 10 minutes. I had to postpone my shower until after work! lol luckily I wear jeans and hat to work, but it's hard to cover up the stench of sweat after being scared throughout the game! lol

Another Big Daddy strategy is to use enrage on them while there are other enemies around and shoot at him while he is shooting at the others. It's just one big slugfest with these things.

I played yesterday for about 10 hours, taking only a few breaks in-between. Had the day off from work because I was . . . sick

Loving the game so far. Taking down that first Big Daddy was unbelievably tough (I'm not using the Vital Chambers, if I die I load my game). I must have died about 10 times trying to defeat him.

I've noticed this game gets pretty hard as you advance through it. I wasn't having much trouble at the beginning (not counting the Big Daddy), but recently it has gotten tough. As a note, I have decided not to harvest any Little Sisters, I've been rescuing them all (that could be why I am noticing the difficulty spike, Atlas did warn me about that).

I fired this game up yesterday and holy crap is it amazing. Very intense and creepy in many of the areas and just plain beautiful in the graphics dept.
