I'd never played on such a small part of the maps before (I usually play the large servers), but being confined to certain areas made it an entirely different experience. I actually got lost on the Eucadian city one (while carrying the flag) because I'd never really looked at the details on that part of the map, I'd usually just be zipping through it with a jeep or flying over it.

It really did feel like they were different maps at times.

I was just commenting about this to EG. Every game should adopt this. It's a great option to have, chopping the maps down to a size that accommodates the number of guys you have playing.

And I love that the maps are just huge even when they are small. Meaning, if you are in a plane, you can still fly out of bounds and whip around.

This game is just incredible all the way around and will be a main stay in the PS3 probably until The Show 08 drops.

I still can't believe that last game I had 132 points, didn't even realize it till the game was over. I was stunned.

I just get sucked in, we played for almost 2 hours and it felt like 10 minutes.

this game is amazing plain and simple. The balance of all the weapons and vehicles is well done.

There are so many examples of that (and we saw plenty in those games we played). This was one of my favorites though:

On the archipelago map, the red team took one of the middle islands, and EG got to the missile turret. No matter what we did, we couldn't attack from the air. I got shot down at least 3 times, and I had a lot of company. So I took a different approach - flew off and found a stealth powerup. Activated it, came back to that island and EG couldn't lock on. Turret go boom. I think that advance got red enough zone points to win that game though, so they actually came out ahead.

That stealth move was sweet. I could see you, but couldn't lock on. I was like "uh oh", and boom, I'm dead..LOL

Which pickup icon is stealth? I don't think I've ever used it in a warhawk.

It's yellow-orange and it looks like a biohazard sign... well, almost. It has three things pointing out in the middle to form a triangle. Each pick up gives you 100 for stealth, and the max you can get is 200 (I'm not sure if it's in seconds...)

Which pickup icon is stealth? I don't think I've ever used it in a warhawk.

I think it looks like a triangle kind of. It is oragish/yellow.

Ah, I figured it was that one.

My best moment of the night was planting 3 mines around our flag. I think I got EG and Johnny with 2 of the mines.

Well I played this tonight with some randoms and a buddy of mine split screen to get a hold of the game. Had a couple good games and a couple games where I flat out got owned. Flying can be tricky sometime and when some random jumped in my plane the first time I played the game I was like... wow now I have to have someone watch my broke flying skills... until I crashed. LOL

But very fun game so far and looking forward to playing with you OSers. Just need some more practice.

LOL

You'll go through the usual bumps and bruises with flying. It takes a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of switching (special) weapons on the fly and avoiding other missiles as well as keeping yourself alive, using the warhawks/nemesis can be fun.

Right now I'm probably at my best using those two. Tanks are alright, but my ground game needs work.

went to bed early and missed all the fun. Is the ranking system working again ?? I must of played for 5 hours yesterday too.
