The format is so close that this could have been the perceived present day sequel to the AC series. There are some obvious differences, but overall they feel very similar to me. I'm enjoying it, and I do wish it was released on the 360, but I think this will be a one-time-through just like AC was. Get the badguys, bea hero to the people and on to the next adventure.

This game made the same mistake that AC made in that it doesn't give you a real city. True free roamers, like Saint's Row and GTA allow you to have a small life outside of the main story. In this game I miss it even more because I'm literally bringing the city back to life, so it'd be nice to be a part of the community I'm saving besides having people take pictures of me.
Other than the platforming, I fail to see how this is anything like Assassin's Creed.

Completely different stories, completely different way of HANDLING the stories, completely different fighting mechanics, completely different types of side missions. Literally, the only thing similar is the way Cole can climb stuff.

And honestly, if I was really going to compare it to how a game felt, Uncharted is the one that comes to mind... but again, purely from a control standpoint. "X" did all the platforming in both games, the same buttons aim and fire, etc.

But again, a modern day Assassin's Creed sequel? I just don't see that AT ALL.

I finished this game over the weekend--well, half-finished, since I only did the good story line. I LOVED it and especially liked the ending. Do you guys think that there's any chance Sucker Punch releases DLC for this game?

Well since that's the majority of the gameplay....

Really now? One story is about a guy being used as a pawn by secret societies while he stalks the rooftops trying to figure it all out. The other....wait, no, that's both of them. Secret experiments about unlocking the human mind? Check. Female support character guiding your hand through the missions? Check.

Let's see. Someone calls you over to follow someone or kill someone, and you have the option to protect a citizen being harassed or held hostage by a gang. Again, which game am I talking about?

At least they don't both have those silly activities where you find the worthless hidden objects around the map. Oh. They do.

Okay, well the level of interaction with the city and its citizens is really different...oh darn it. No they aren't. In both games you can either bump into people or kill them if you're not doing missions, otherwise they are just background.

If Assassin's Creed had a code for infinite dagger throwing and the ability to float, Infamous would look like DLC for the series.

That's not a criticism, btw. I like both games for pretty much the same reasons.

I think they announced before the game's release that there would be no patches or DLC. They just made the game as big as they could.

Not trying to start a console war here, but I think this game would have had DLC support if it were released on the 360. There are many factors, but I think it just comes down to the numbers. The sales and support from M$ makes it worthwhile to make DLC. When I look at the numbers that multiplatform software released do, it's usually 7:3 in favor of M$.

                Didn't Killzone 2 have DLC?

I think the simple explanation is the one I already posted a link to... the developers (at this time) aren't interested in doing DLC. Personally, I like that approach - pack as much as you can into the retail game... don't make me pay more for it (I'm looking at you, Prince of Persia).

Killzone has the multiplayer base to satisfy.

Thanks, man. That's cool. The game was still really great and like I said, I still haven't played the Evil story.

My favorite game this year. Can't wait for the sequel.

Finally beat this game this morning! Yes! That took a long time to beat all the stories. Very fun game but I won't start the evil campaign for awhile.

                        It took me awhile too.

The game reminded me a lot of those last-gen Spiderman games, with the races, helping random people on the street, bad guys randomly shooting at you.

The boss is a ***** on hard mode. You pretty much have to dodge every single one of his attacks. Almost threw my controller out the window .
