hey, on the topic of the beautiful lighting and shadowing that Splinter Cell (XBOX) is getting so much acclaim for, my girlfriend's brother works for UbiSoft Montreal, and he was one of the main guys in charge of those specific aspects (lighting and shadowing) of developing the game. pretty cool eh?

yeah, they did. I even got to see a "sneak peek" at the game a couple of months ago before it was released, and i could already tell how beautiful it was.

Well, I thought they looked different, but it looked to me more like just the colors of things, like the wall in the first one, were different. I didn't really notice the shadowing, or lighting effects until they were pointed out.

The lighting in Halo 2 is supposed to surpass splinter cell, hard to believe, seems almost perfect. Doom3 will also be a very well done game. Doom3 and Halo2 can not be done on PS2 with out significant gameplay and graphic changes. If only the xbox had the GTA series, I wouldn't want anything from the ps2 that I can't get from the xbox already.

                                Halo 2

There should be a manditory graemlin rule that you must put in after each time Halo 2 is mentioned.
