The only thing I don't like is that I have to buy the maps to play ranked. I just started to play this again, and it is still one of the most fun gaming expereinces to have.

ODST will be fun.

Hopefully, you didn't buy the maps, because if you're getting ODST, it will come with all them.

I'm in that boat, I got into Gears 2 for a bit and got left behind in Halo 3. When I saw that Halo ODST would include all the maps, I saw that as a perfect time to get back into Halo 3 and not get crushed in every online match.

I got tired of gears 2...it's too different after the FOUR updates, and the game itself isn't stable. At least with Halo 90% of the problems are players talking...not lag and glitches.

And good looks on that ODST tidbit..I got Cold Storage and Heroic, not any others since.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 10 years already. I remember playing the original like it was yesterday. That one game is the reason I bought an Xbox in the first place. The money that this series has made Microsoft is probably ridiculous.

well it hasn't really been 10 years, only since they announced it. It wasn't released until 2001. Still, it ranks up there with GTA 3 as biggest console game of this decade.
