It's going to be Rock Band. Absolutely cannot wait for that game.

Going off games I've actually have bought though, probably ESPN NFL 2K5. Played the game like crazy for a good two and a half years, until I sold my XBOX to get a 360.

DC is mine. I went to the store just to check it out and walked out with a console and NFL 2K. Great system, terrible licensing - could have competed with PS2 and XBox if they had put out the games or had an EA license.

I've got so many great memories from gaming, but my fav would have to be dreamcast. IMO it was the 1st time we got games at home that looked and played better than the arcade. NFL 2K blew my mind and I was in love with that system from day 1. It's my second fav system next to the 360. 360 kinda reminds me of dreamcast for some reason.

Another 1 I have to mention is the day Metal Gear Solid came out. I wasn't that interested in the game until I got a demo from some magazine I had. After the demo I had to have the game and anything that had to do with the game I viewed. The day it dropped I picked up my pre-order and was fully immersed in the Metal Gear Solid series. It's the only reason I own a BS3.

I'll agree with the other who mentioned SMB 2.

As a kid, two other memorable releases was zelda 2: link's awakening and the first madden on the genesis. For zelda. I remember going every day to the local TRU asking if it was in yet. Same with madden.

Felt like Christmas when i picked up those 3 games.

Mine was NCAA Baseball 06. I went to gamestop the minute they opened and they said "no one is getting it until 1 pm". Then I went to Best Buy, bought it at 11 am and laughed. I've never liked gamestop/eb games and their pre order crap.

RBI Baseball for the NES. I can remember me and my brother unmercifully hounding Toys R Us for weeks about RBI. Mike Tyson Punch Out too because somehow my Dad managed to reserve a copy at a little Mom and Pop store in PA that probably doesn't even exist anymore. Gotta love Dads!

Super Contra and Super Mario Bros.3....If I remember correctly they both came out the same day. I remember arguing about Contra being better then Mario Bros as a kid when deep down I knew I wanted to play both. Those were the days.

Live 97. Store hopped all morning on the bus searching for it. The commercials were great, and I couldn't wait to use the expansion Grizz. After a crappy, unsuccesful day of searching, I was walking home with no game, tired and pissed. Decided to stop in the Blockbuster up the street on a whim. Huzzah! They had just gotten them in for rental. Lol...I told the girl ringing me up that I wasn't bringing it back, flat out.

Most anticipated had to be NFL 2k4 though. That 2-minute demo had me hyped up to a ridiculous degree...and I also agree that DC launch was awesome. For some reason I remember being excited just to open the dang VMU.
