Anyone have the PS2 version? How is it? For $29.99, I'm tempted.

Re: WSOP 2008: Battle for the Bracelets
There is a autosave feature in the game. If your in a tourney and you pause the game(if autosave is enabled), at the bottom of the screen you should see the "saving content, do not turn off console" message. At least I'm noticing it in my 360 version, I can't speak for the PS3 but I would assume its in there as well. If its not it would make it very tough to make it through those tournies with over a thousand people.I am become death

Re: WSOP 2008: Battle for the Bracelets
No. I have the PS3 version and was thinking maybe I should have got the PS2 version(cheaper). The graphics are not jaw dropping at all. The create a player is very basic and NOTHING like Tiger Woods. I think you can put your face in there but I don't delve into that kind of stuff. Bottom line- Decent game if it was a $20 game. You REALLY need to be into poker to enjoy this. The tournaments can get very lengthy-it is what it is-poker. If you are really on the fence still,I strongly suggest rental or wait for a price drop. I got jumpy and feel I burned 50 bucks on this oneLast edited by coffeeholic; 10-17-2007, 09:18 AM.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

I don't mind the length, but saving in game progress would have been a nice feature.ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: WSOP 2008: Battle for the Bracelets
From what I read on Gamefaqs, you can just press start and that autosaves it at any time.
I picked up the PS2 version. Haven't opened it up yet. As long as the AI is better than the original World Championship Poker (the last poker video game I played), I'll have fun with it. The graphics don't matter to me. I just want something that's more realistic than the freerolls on Pokerstars.Last edited by caseyd; 10-17-2007, 01:00 PM.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

Seriously, the XBL Arcade Texas hold em' is better than friggen Pokerstars.net.
Have you tried full tilt?
I'm getting this tomorrow when I go to Gamestop to pick up FIFA.
How much is the 360 version again? (not you, anyone in general I'm asking)Comment

Re: WSOP 2008: Battle for the Bracelets
Haven't tried Full Tilt yet. Maybe I'll give that a go. I just figured anything online, on freeroll, is going to be about the same since it's play money. I'm just looking for something to help me improve, help me learn pot odds and hand percentages, etc. and I'm not that much of a reader.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095
