    Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)

R* said early and often that this wasn't any thing like RDR & GTA. If people would have done their research on the game that would have known that. That's just like someone expecting Madden 12 franchise improvements to be in Madden 11. If you didn't do the research to find out that M11 had virtually no franchise improvements then that's on you.

And like other's have said it doesn't fit the game. However, Zombie's didn't fit in RDR either and they came out with those. So you just never know with R*. Perhaps they will have Zombie's roaming the city around Halloween and perhaps they will release or patch the ability to shootup the city GTA style. I certainly wouldn't bank on it but, it wouldn't surprise me if they did either.

I have a question about that case, BlueNGold doesn't have to be the only one to answer:

Rumble and the little music chime are tied together. The option toggles them both, you can't have one or the other.

Edit: To answer your question though, Options>Gameplay>Clue Hints toggles the chime and vibration.

I'm pretty much getting just the hang of it. I'm not getting it all correct as I'm just assuming they're telling the truth if I have no evidence going against what they say. Also, I'm not finding all the clues so there may have been more lies I've been missing, but I'm definitely doing much better than previous cases. I stopped doubting people as that seems to get just about everyone pissed off and usually results in me getting it wrong.

I know you can still walk around and mash on the X (PS3) button, but that's ridiculous to do because you're taking the fun out of the game for yourself.

I do agree about the cars not being much different, but I'm not too surprised at that considering the times. I'm still going to eventually go out and find all the cars so I can 100% the game though.

But the one thing I really love about this game is how it makes you feel and think like a detective. In the "A Marriage Made in Heaven" case, there was a point where as I was driving to the next location, I went over all the evidence in my head and pieced together what I thought happened to the person and who did it. Sure enough when I got to the coroner's office, he revealed how the person died and it was exactly how I thought they did, which led to me being able to arrest the exact person I thought committed the murder.
Definitely agree. I turned off the rumble feature after the first beat cop case, turned off the music right as I started "The Driver's Seat." Much better, though I've managed to miss one clue in each case ever since then.

Something I've noticed....I see alot of guys talking abut turning off rumble, which is fine...but I'm not sure (maybe you do) if you know it or not....but just because you get that "rumble",it doesn't automatically mean that it's a clue.
I've had several instances to where I'll be looking around, get the rumble, only to pick up a box of tissues or an empty cigarette pack...and of those times Phelps will remark that it has nothing to do with the case.

Just got my first perfect case. It was like 9 or 10 (the one with the fruit store and the bar). Got three achievements because I've been doing so bad. Found all clues, perfect interrogation branches, and 5 stars.

It was funny because the one before it I thought I did really wellas I only missed one clue and a couple interrogation points but for some reason I only got one star on it.

Also I bombed the movie case early on.

You must have run over a whole bunch of stuff/people during that case or something. You sure you didn't flip a few cars during the case?
