Yes, you will. But as soon as you accept a side mission you can hold the triangle button and you'll get out of the car and tell your partner to drive.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
If you don't mind your kid hearing foul lanaguae andHey guys I am going to play my copy sometime tonight. Not to spoil me or others who have not played the game. Are there cases that make you think "Well thats messed up, how they died" Because it seems that GTA is a much more mild game compared to this. And is it too graphic for my kids to watch me play the game. Would you let your kids either play this game or watch.
Thanksthen let them watch.Spoilerseeing nudity (I've came across one case so far that had full female frontal.)
As most everyone else has said this game is fantastic and is very hard to put down. I definitely can't stop in the middle of a case. Also, each case seems to get better & better. There's even some Uncharted type action at the end of one of the cases. I'd rate this game 5 out of 5 stars. It's undoubtedly up there with my other favorites like Heavy Rain & Uncharted II. Dammit if there isn't another 16-18 long hours before I can play again. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUMy 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Thanks alot for everyone thoughts. You know my oldest son who is 8, really enjoyed RDR but the ending of the game really bothered him. So I will
definitely only play this game if they are in school or when they go to bed.
You know it's funny, I hardly ever let them play my M rated games because of obvious reasons. Well it's time to play this great game!!NCAA Football 11 Florida State Dynasty

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
SpoilerThe way you get the final desk seemed so forced. Not trying to go too hard into spoiling, but it seemed that the story guys ran out of ideas and threw that in there. It blindsided me in the worst way, making little sense. I hope it comes full circle soon.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Well just put in a few hours into the game & I have to say that Rockstar outdid themselves with this one. The faces are so lifelike. It adds so much to the game! Plus the story, the 2 hours that I have played so far, sucks you in. Great, great game in my opinion."In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened." - Vin Scully

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
After reading all of the comments on here and elsewhere I decided to get this game. Best part is I got an insane deal on it. Pretty round about way but I'm happy. I went on amazon. I went to the game and at the bottom it said put this in your cart and sign up for the amazon credit card to get $30 credit towards your purchase. So I did that. I'm not even going to activate my card when it gets to me so it's basically a free 30 bucks. Then I saw something about how college students can sign up for amazon prime for free for one full year. So I did that. Now I get free two day shipping or $3.99 one day shipping for an entire year. So all in all I got the game for PS3 for just $29.99 and free two day shipping. So it will be here Saturday.
After I completed my order it also said that once my transaction for the game goes through, I get another $20 in amazon credit that I can spend on whatever. I'm not quite sure why I got the extra $20 though. I can't complain. All I know is for the past year I have gotten some crazy good deals on amazon. It's no question the first site I go to when I want or need something.NHL-Minnesota Wild

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Game is amazingly fun. I love the atmosphere, the city, the music, the graphics, facial technology. Hunting down clues is fun (I have the aids turned off). Interrogating is fun as well.
Side missions add just enough diversion and action to the game to keep it from being stale.
Rockstar has churned out another hit. This won't be for everyone, but I love it. I love that rockstar has pushed the envelope with their games to give the user something unique.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
The one thing I don't like up to this point is that the street crimes (or at least the ones I've played) are all shootouts that end with the criminals dying. I was hoping there was going to be some more variety or something.
They are a nice change of pace from just solving cases though.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Finally got a chance to play and wow....I didn't want to put it down. I love the atmosphere, dialogue, etc...I think they nailed the whole "noir" vibe. I can't wait to get into some real investigations and interrogations.
Not sure it's really a spoiler, but just in case...
SpoilerI had no trouble getting a quick confession to end the beat cop portion, but I doubt they hold you hand as much and make it so obvious from here on. It's clear that having your ducks in a row from an evidence standpoint will be big. It was a fun intro into how things work though and I loved the back and forth. Can't wait to see that in full force!
I was also surprised how fluid the action felt. I was unsure of how the lack of certain action commands would play out, but the game does a nice job doing it for you and I think it serves the pacing so well. I think if I were having to choose various commands on the fly during a chase it would hamper the cinematic effect that seems to be delivered.
All in all a fantastic start to the game. I only got to play through the beat cop training missions and watch the intro to my time in traffic division (love the dialog between all the guys...so natural). Really wish I could keep on playing now that the training wheels have come off, but tomorrow is a busy day and sleepy time calls.
Can't wait to dive deeper into this game over the weekend.Comment
