    about the ending...
    Spoiler

they did such a great job making you feel the atmosphere of that era, of LA, and of being a detective imo...this was quite a piece of art and was definitely a favorite gaming experience for me

@Merc by what u just said, you basically want the game to be GTA.
"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

      lol

No, I appreciate games that differ from GTA. I knew someone would say that. All I'm saying is that you have a massive game world that goes to waste IMO because aside from the linear story line, you don't have any reason to go much of anywhere aside from just doing it to do it.

Just so I'm clear before everyone attacks me for my position, I really enjoy the game, I really do...I just think it's been overrated quite a bit here for what it really has to offer. Still, the play through I'm doing is fun...but a little less that I expected.

These are identical to my sentiments. Couldn't have said it any better.

Other than finding dumb film reels, or cars, what is there to do? Aside from the crimes that is.
These are my thoughts as well.

I'm having with the game, looking for clues, doing interrogations and such...but if I'm not doing any cases, there's nothing else left to do as I'm not really big on trying to drive/find every single car or go to every single landmark. If they would've added a few more things to do on the side, then I wouldn't have not one complaint about this game. Unless, this is how the 40s actually were and if that's the case then I understand completely LOL.

I understand where people are coming from about the city, but I am not sure what you would add? What are some things that you would add?

In the 40's and 50's people did cruise around to have fun, so I guess it is realistic.

I am a fan of the game. I also liked Mafia II though, and that game was criticized like this game. Both have big beautiful cities, but they act as a backdrop and not really a part of the game like it does in GTA.

I've been saying this from day one. I wish there was more to do in such a massive city. I've learned to appreciate what R* was tryna pull off though.

I just want some incentives to keep playing like RDR or GTA. Hard not to compare the games since they come fromt the same publisher, same general gameplay theme. Just feels incomplete from a sandbox standpoint.

Minigames like races, a fightclub(fighting is a blast in R* games), maybe instead of getting random outfits, a clothing store wouldn't hurt just for kicks, a inventory system to store guns, items, etc....which leads to having money to buy items. Heck, they could of even gave the cars gas and made you use a gas station just for useless depth. Any type of customization is always a good thing as well.

It's been tougher so far with the vice case "Black Caesar." Things don't seem as clear-cut. In fact...

I would rather the game not even have an open-world. I wouldn't say it's necessarily a waste, I just don't think it was needed. I'm really liking it, but a more Heavy Rain-like approach would've allowed them to go wild with the mechanics and depth of these cases.

Yeah I fell the same way about the open world. Rockstar put in so much work into the game world with little payout for it. The map cpuld have been significantly smaller for what they needed. I hope this is part of their master plan of DLC that will incorporate all the rest of the map.

You might miss out on some good DLC though. Judging from GTA IV and RDR, Rockstar knows how to support their games with it.
