I've never played this game but I want to. Still have to complete FC3 and Sleeping Dogs before embarking on this one though.

I'm in the process of moving all my X360 games to the PS3. This is $11 on Amazon right now for PS3 and $9.99 for Xbox.

Great game. Not in my Top 10 last gen but real close.

IMO, this game would have been much better if the world was more open. Found it to be very boring right out of the gate.

I think the "open world" map hurt it to be honest. Outside of the cases there wasn't anything to do. That didn't bother me, but I can see how some people felt disappointed.

I'm not really that big open world fan. Most of the time where they thrive in having sandbox feel, they take away from the big action scenes. With that said if it's an open world it needs to be a real open world and if it's not it needs to be linear. Making an open world game pretty much linear, with not much to do, kind of defeats the purpose.

Like I said linear games usually provide better action sequences (imo) than open world games and this game provided some pretty good ones that most other open world games don't; which is why it was a Top 10 game for me last gen. I'm actually really looking forward to their next game. I'm just hoping you can go down multiple paths with choosing questions incorrectly and the like.

I kind of liked the open world driving and the banter between Cole and his partner. I think the linear locations would have made the game feel smaller/immersive and more focused, but it was pretty cool rolling out of the station house, jumping into the car, and rolling to the latest crime scene.

Plus, some of those car chases and particularly the conclusion to the Homicide desk made great use of the open world map.

I remember getting like halfway through and getting busy. It was fun, but the novelty wore off a bit to the facial stuff and all that.

It was a cool, unique game though!

I actually love having the open world in this game because it put me in the right mood and frame of mind. Driving around, listening to the radio, and taking in all the period detail is a treat that really let me sink into the game.

Really hope they make a sequel. Maybe not set in LA, maybe 80s Miami?

This game was definitely in my Top 10. Was original, was fun, had a great story. Acting was top notch.

Did read that rockstar teased an announcement for an upcoming game and mentioned the Red Dead, LA Noire and Bully franchises. It will probably be a RDR sequel but I'd love an 80's miami detective game.

I'd rather they take it to the 60s in Miami or even keep it in LA with heavy inspirations from Inherent Vice and The Big Lebowski.

It would be kind of cool if they came up with something where you use multiple characters similar to GTA V. Have two cops.... one who is straight and narrow and the other a complete wild card. Maybe even go all L.A. Confidential and throw a a half cop/half reality TV star in the mix as well.

Basically, they would investigate crimes/murders just like L.A. Noire, but have the cops have different attributes and stuff to find clues, interrogate suspects, etc. Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe would be the main detectives while Kevin Spacey would be the third playable character, but I'm not sure how much of a role he could really play. They could also throw in James Cromwell in as the police chief and Danny DeVito as a low life reporter. Some 1990's Kim Basinger as the love interest would be nice as well

Do that Rockstar and I'm there on Day One.

You did use multiple guys in this game, it was just in a different way.

That's probably where the whole GTA idea came from.
