Got it on Switch, love it. One of my favorite games last gen, to be able to play on the go without swapping discs is golden. Plus from all comparison videos, the Switch looks identical to the PS4 Pro version running the game.

Yep, it's the same game with a few technical and graphical enhancements. They also changed up the Interrogation system to make the options less confusing. The XB1/PS4 versions include all of the DLC, the Complete editions on PS3/360 include most of that stuff as well. I think some of the DLC was free on PS3/360 for awhile, maybe it still is.

I started up again last night (in black-and-white mode!), such a joy to replay this fine game.

I would be, especially if you haven't played it yet. L.A. Noire is definitely not everyone's cup o' tea, it's a slower-paced game that is missing a lot of the action that Rockstar games are known for.

If you end up enjoying it as much as I did (I now own the game on three consoles), then hey, the premium version is always there for you.

Stupid question, but is B&W mode just the same thing as turning the color knob down to 0, or do they put in a lot of film grain and such as well or some other older effects, maybe play with the audio and such?

That would be awesome, but no, it's basically just a desaturation filter. There's also a brightness setting that you can turn down if you want a more noir-ish effect.

I already have this game on the PS3, but I'm going to end up getting it on the PS4 as well simply because I like the cover.

Honestly, the cover sold me on the physical version as well. It's a nice upgrade either way, especially in 4K on the Pro. Shows its age here and there but overall not too bad for a six-year-old game (wow, I feel reeeallly old right now).
