Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I am about 35 minutes into the game and I have solved 3 cases of the 21. Kinda fast huh?
It says I am 9% done. How can I not do cases and just do random side missions?Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Fun game! I'm at the first Traffic case, did the first investigating and stopping to go out for dinner.
I've always loved the "adventure" aspect of investigating and looking for clues (takes from the point and click games of the past) and the other elements are fun.
Starting to get the hang of interrogation, but that could be tough (in a good way) as I go on...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

It will slow down and the side crimes will start coming. I had the same concerns in the beginningThe poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

I noticed that also James.....I was promoted to a desk job, solving crimes, and thought this was all moving way too quick. The it started slowing down, and the side crimes started popping up all the time. I am progressing at a much slower pace now.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
The first few missions go by rather quickly...think of it more as a tutorial, the cases get longer the further you get into the game.
As far as doing the side missions....just drive around and you'll get the call on the radio, then hit "X" and your on your way.
The cool thing is you could be on your way to a case location for investigation or an interview, then you'll get the call on the radio and BAM another side mission.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

You have the choice to do them or not. I enjoy doing them because each one is an adventure in itself. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
This game is totally addictive and engaging. I'm having a hard time putting it down. While I appreciated the art and storytelling of GTA IV and RDR, I never found the gameplay that engaging. A lot of the missions in those games felt uninspired and ended up feeling like drudgery to play though. In L.A. Noire they've got a formula that brings every element of the game together and keeps you eager to see what happens next. Atmosphere and attention to detail are top notch. You can tell a lot of love went into this game.
I was really worried this game would feel too much like a movie and not be much of an interactive experience, but that isn't the case at all. I've been pretty cool on non-sports games the past few years and haven't been this impressed right off the bat in a long time. It's a really fresh feeling experience and it's put together beautifully.Comment
