Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
This game is totally addictive and engaging. I'm having a hard time putting it down. While I appreciated the art and storytelling of GTA IV and RDR, I never found the gameplay that engaging. A lot of the missions in those games felt uninspired and ended up feeling like drudgery to play though. In L.A. Noire they've got a formula that brings every element of the game together and keeps you eager to see what happens next. Atmosphere and attention to detail are top notch. You can tell a lot of love went into this game.
I was really worried this game would feel too much like a movie and not be much of an interactive experience, but that isn't the case at all. I've been pretty cool on non-sports games the past few years and haven't been this impressed right off the bat in a long time. It's a really fresh feeling experience and it's put together beautifully.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Some questions for you guys who have the 360 version. Now I did buy my copy at the midnight launch, but I have concerns. My first one is that since the game was made for the PS3 the 360 version is very glitchy. Now this is what I have been hearing from reading reviews. Also is the framerate smooth or is it choppy.
And do you have to respond to a crime scene(non story missions) right away or can you ignore the call. And the game will just replay those missions that you have not completed yet. I believe there are a total of 40 missions. Now I know this game is not a GTA or RDR, but I would like some replay value. Just some concerns, and thanks in advance for your response guys!Last edited by nolesfan69; 05-17-2011, 07:35 PM.NCAA Football 11 Florida State Dynasty

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'm starting to get the feeling the street crimes were put in to action the game up a bit for the GTA crowd. They're a blast, though. This whole game is.
I sucked at reading people to start, but I'm getting a lot better, now that I've stopped assuming everyone's lying. Turns out truth is the right answer a lot of the time.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

If this game is glitchy I have not experienced it yet. When you first start off there is a part in the 1st 10-15 seconds whats kinda like a slowdown but other than that I have no clue what some are talking about. Some questions for you guys who have the 360 version. Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Well, I'm not sure if anyone else is as bad as I am. I'm a good 5 for 30 on questions during interrogations.... 3 or 4 of the correct ones came from the very first case. Also, I'm like 0 for 12 in the past couple interrogations. Hands down... I'm one of the worst interrogators of all time.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I've had a few scenes of serious slowdown on the PS3 - one specifically bad one during a driving scene that got annoying and actually had me get out and let my partner drive so I could skip it.
Also had a truck hit a car and end up floating on top of it for a good fifteen seconds. I laughed pretty hard at that one.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'll probably go out and hunt for this one tomorrow...questions:
1) What system should I buy it for? I'm not keen on the three discs for 360, but if it plays/looks better, then maybe it's worth it.
2) What store has the best deal?

I'm pretty bad myself
.....trying to get a read on the suspects is a game in itself.

9 1/2 more hours then I'm off till Monday!!!!!!!! And back on dayshift.. WOOT!!
Can't wait to fire this up and play.
1 question:
Should I leave on the vibration etc.. stuff for the first couple "tutorial" cases and then turn off so I can learn the game. Or would it be ok to just trun off from the beginning?Joshua:
