Reallly glad this is gonna he gameplay similar to heavy rain as far as replay value goes. Also that it will take 20+ hours to get through the first time around.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
And that's what will make L.A. Noire a game that players will discuss and dissect. Like Heavy Rain, players won't know about the paths they miss and the sequences that they don't see – they live with the story consequences of their decisions and actions. As you can imagine, this creates something of a minefield, and the team has had to methodically work through every possible permutation and outcome, looking for 'logic bombs'. Maintaining the logic of the gameworld basically adds up to a whole lot of work: writing more dialogue and creating more scenes, all so that the one path the player does take is seamless. No wonder the script comes in at 2,200 pages.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Most publishers would not allow the developer to spend that much money to create content for so many possible choices. They would force them to lock in on about 3 different scenarios for each situation.
I feel like this game is a very expensive gift from Rockstar to us old-timers who have been playing adventure games for decades.
It will be like ambrosia to me, but I am curious to see how this game does with the 18-25 year old gamers. Most people in this age range have never played any AAA game of this type.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Which reminds me. I loved the Gabriel Knight series on the PC back in the day. Most publishers would not allow the developer to spend that much money to create content for so many possible choices. They would force them to lock in on about 3 different scenarios for each situation.

As an 18-25 year old gamer (22), I can't ****ing wait to play this game. I've stopped watching videos because I just want to see everything as new.Comment

Same thing here. I'm 21 and love the environment and story that they are trying to pull off unlike most of my friends. They all basically hated Red Dead.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I still want to see at least 1 video of someone just sitting down and playing the game to get an idea of how the game world is and how you go about missions, etc.
Aside from that, I don't think I can watch anything else. I want the game to be fresh.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Ugh! I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy this from a store or take my chances and hope Gamefly ships it to me release week and I buy it off them for around $45-$50 new.
I've gotten to the point where I don't feel like spending much money on games anymore, but I still want more and more games.
