Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Yeah Amazon is way better, plus if you have Prime you always get free release day shipping.Good to see my local Gamestop are still idiots. I tried trading the 2 games for $50 and they didn't know anything about said deal. After 5 minutes of frustration telling them that the deal is on there website I left. Back to not dealing with Gamestop and sticking to Amazon.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Here's how the pre-order deals are working in Canada. Not sure if this is all of them though:
-EB/Gamestop has The Naked City case and some Badge Challenge thing (I'm guessing it's this game's version of hidden packages).
-Best Buy has the sharpshooter suit.
-Wal-Mart has the A Slip of the Tongue case.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Who played the police quest games? I somewhat remember chasing down Bains but that was 20 years ago. Typing unlock door and such
not even mouse clicking but text driven.
How about Mean Streets/Tex Murphy games? I loved those games but remember spending more time freeing up dos memory trying to get the game to run than actually playing.
Other than those 2 series I don't remember playing too many detective games. What other detective games does anyone remember?Comment

I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
The ones at my Gamestop were clueless as well. They finally figured out that they had to scan the barcode on the L.A. Noire flyer. I figured I'd get 50 bucks towards the game. On the contrary. I had to pay the remainder of the game off on sight. Luckily I had my card on me.Good to see my local Gamestop are still idiots. It is getting fixed for free under the extended warranty but it still sucks.
Looks like im going to be watching from the sidelines until my 360 is fixed

Didn't get in on the trade-in deal for L.A. Noire b/c of Mother's Day stuff, so I'm just gonna have to find a way to pay the rest of L.A. Noire off before the 17th and I might trade SvR and FIFA to Amazon ($30 a piece) for NCAA or Madden.Favorite Sports Teams

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
By the time I get my money it'll probably be too late for pre-orders which is sad as I'd like to take advantage of the EB package. Here's how the pre-order deals are working in Canada. Not sure if this is all of them though:

Oh well, I shall be eagerly anticipating having this game in my hands.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
SPTO you could always pre-order at EB/Gamestop by putting down the minimum $5 to hold your game and bonuses then come back and pay for it whenever you get the money. It's not a requirement of a pre-order that you pick it up day of release or even week of. I don't think it really even matters to them as long as they get credit for the orders for each individual store. So if you want to get the bonuses but won't have the full money come release day I'd recommend to just go ahead and put in your order, if your funds allow, and pay it off when you can.A negative mind will never give you a positive life.

That sounds like a pretty good deal B. Was there a specific deal or anything that you remember for the $80?A negative mind will never give you a positive life.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
They have a trade-in 3 games, get an extra $10, going on now till the end of the month. Maybe it was part of that. That had to be some pretty recent games to get that kinda scratch outa them though.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks
