I only watched 2 minutes of the vid but if nothing is really spoiled I better hurry up and watch the rest excuse me....OK just watched it...WOW!

I have to agree the guy wasn't very thorough at all and did he click out of the newspaper flashback scene? Oh well, least we got a little bit of everything in those 15 minutes.

I just picked up the strategy guide. I am really looking forward to driving the cars in the game. Buicks, Caddys, Chryslers, etc.

I have not subbed to this thread till now because the anticipation is already bad enough. But since it is coming next week...

                    Subbed.

If you're in Canada at Futureshop it's trade 2 and get it free. Also says something about a $10 credit but it's no explained. However there's no bonus at all.

I haven't been paying much attention to this. I thought by the title it sounded like another racing game or something.

What's the premise of the game? Your a cop in a sandbox game? Kinda like true-crime was?

You're a dectective and do dectective work to solve cases. It's my understanding you don't even get to kill civilans or are at least punished for it.

It's not really a sandbox game in the traditional sense. You rise up the ranks of the LAPD as Cole Phelps. Along the way you have to solve the cases and such (about 23 IIRC) plus side cases if you choose to do so. Eventually the story will open up that you uncover massive corruption in the city and the PD.

The big hook to the game is the actors actually being pretty much real with the motion scanning technology and so when questioning suspects and so on you really have to pay attention to their facial features to suss out if they're lying or being honest.

Game is supposed to be 30-40 hrs long.

                              Ok, I'm on board.
                              Thanks 4 the 411.

Reading on it it looks like Max Payne meets RDR.

The others have pretty much said what needs to be said, but as for the sandbox part, expect something like Mafia II. The city is there, but its not really as big a part of the game as GTA IV. I'm thinking it will be a bigger part of the game than Mafia II, but not near as close as GTA or RDR. There will be collectibles and random crimes reported, but thats it I believe.
