Confirmed by a NeoGAF poster:
B&W "is not just a desaturation process, it turns the whole grayscale into a grainy and old film like image, pretty much as you can see in most of noir movies, totally playable and atmosphere booster."Comment

Cause it's not that big of a deal.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Are you guys in the US getting this on Wednesday? Over here we have to wait until Friday...torture!
I know what I'm doing Friday night though. Finish work at 7pm, drop by game store, drive home (1 hour commute) then spend some time with the wife. After she goes to bed its me and LA Noire with a nice glass of wine.
I don't want to build it up too much in my mind but I haven't looked forward to a game like this since GTA IV. Red Dead came close but this looks to be even more mind blowingly fantastic!
I'm staying well away from any spoilers for the next week. I want my first steps in 1947 LA to be similar to my first steps in Liberty City 08. I hadn't seen any game play videos for GTA IV and my first gaming session was completely engrossing.Comment

This. If you're that worried that even general information will spoil the game, why ware you even in this thread?Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I don't have both systems, but seeing as hows there's no real online component, and the PS3 version has some extra DLC along with being on a single disc, why not go that route since you have the choice?Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
While this is usually true, it was developed for the PS3 first as it was originally a PS3 exclusive, it has extra content, and it comes on a single disc. I'd go with the PS3 version and I am strictly a 360 owner.
Chubby, if you decide to turn the cues off, could you tell us if you think it plays into your overall "detective grade" at the end of the case. Meaning, I think you should get brownie points for solving a case with less help.
Also, do you think the cues and autosaving notebook make it too easy, or is it just right?Last edited by Streets; 05-15-2011, 09:03 AM.Comment
