16 kill streak on countdown! Felt like old times.

My career high is 13. I had 33 kills on Vacant though... which blew out my former best of like 22. Ha, I felt like a boss.

The great thing about it was, it was my first time playing in about a month, and I died right away. But then I found a perfect spot, and no one could find me.

I actually didn't really like it even w/ a group of buddies in the same house! I played it for a few hourse and don't care to play it again.
I agree w/ the other poster who said #4 is almost overly intense. It's way more hectic than #5 which I've grown to like more. I wonder what IW will change for #6?

my one hope is that they have selectable fire on guns. A m16 without the 3 round burst just isn't right.


Edit: Actually, I meant single shot. it already has the 3 round burst.

LOL Not sure what you were talking to me about when you quoted me. If it was L4D I am IN LOVE with this game. It is so much fun. Its up there for my favorite 360 game ever.

COD4 has 11m Live, 4m PSN players

Call of Duty 4 has racked up 11 million unique players since launch on Xbox Live, and over 4 million on PlayStation Network, according to Infinity Ward's Rob Bowling.

Bowling revealed the sensational figures when accepting one of COD 4: Modern Warfare's three BAFTAs in London on Tuesday night.

"I'm delighted that we just reached 11 million unique players on Xbox Live and we've got over 4 million on PSN," Bowling said, according to eyewitnesses (who'd had a bit to drink so don't blame us if the wording isn't exact).

We've confirmed with Activision that the figures relate to COD 4 alone, not the entire Call of Duty franchise.

According to Microsoft, Xbox Live has 17 million users overall, meaning two-thirds of them have played Infinity Ward's first-person shooter. The figures track all players, not just those who've played online multiplayer (necessarily so, since the word is that only 9.5 million people pay for Xbox Live Gold).

Add the untold number of players out there who haven't connected their 360s to the internet, and you get a sense of the true scale of Infinity Ward's success - and that's not even counting PC and PS3 players. As a comparison, MMO king and Activision Blizzard stablemate World of Warcraft has 11 million players worldwide (although, unlike the COD figure, these are all currently active).

Infinity Ward is currently working on a Modern Warfare sequel, due for release at the end of this year.

There isn't really a huge secret to anything.

Hardcore search and destroy gets you 50 points a kill. Just watch out for dumb grenade launchers and blind grenade throws. Other than that, not many tips. Every player has his own style and way of doing things

Whats the deal with the cheaters on this game? Ive heard rumors but have never encountered anything online, I dont think. I heard something to do with modified controllers?? Whats up with that?

I don't know what you've heard about, but I played against a guy a couple of weeks ago that had a modded 360 or something and it was literally impossible to kill him. I shot the guy probably 10 times and got the thing saying that I hit him, and he just wouldn't go down.

This was on Hardcore Headquarters by the way, and the guy was 35 and 0 when I quit. He was just camping in the headquarters the whole time killing everyone that walked in.
