Eurogamer Review - 7
That's why Ghostbusters: The Videogame works. You get to play with a proton gun. You get to fire Boson darts. You get to explore the Fire Station, battle Slimer, fight the marshmallow man, destroy the library and hear Bill Murray do jokes. It's all wrapped up in a package authentic enough to make you forgive the linearity and inconsistencies, tied with a big bow made of pretty graphics. And when you open the package the first thing you hear is, "Nerny ner-ner ner-ner, nerny-nerny ner-ner-ner."
If you love the film it's impossible not to like this game, despite its faults. That would be like hating a puppy just because it's got a wonky leg. This might not be the best videogame ever made but it's one of the better movie tie-ins out there, and it's the closest to being a Ghostbuster most of us will ever get.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

TeamXbox Review - 8.1
When it really comes down to it, Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a decent game to play, a great game to experience. The writing is snappy and funny, thanks to the fact it was written by two proven and experienced comedy writers, Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis. These two know Ghostbusters better than anyone, and the script in someone else’s hands wouldn’t have had a shred of the authenticity this does. The voice acting is great across the board too. If Rick Moranis ever sees this game, he’s going to regret not being involved. Everyone revives their roles from the original movies to a “T”, from the lurid sleaziness of Bill Murray’s Peter Venkman, to the brainy gee-whizziness of Akroyd’s Ray Stanz. It’s like the characters never left. They even got William Atherton back as the high-strung Walter Peck. That is a dedication to the source material right there.
For whatever Ghostbusters: The Video Game is lacking purely as a game – and really, it’s not that much – it more than makes up for it in the production. We should hold it up as a model not just for movie into video game translations, but as an example of how you treat a beloved institution right when making a video game about it. No longer should we accept pale imitations when we know it can be done like this.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
