Its like watching Ghostbusters 3 and that alone makes 60 worth the price of admission imo. Its a really fun game, and it really brings me back to my childhood. I dont know about you guys But I was a HUGE ghostbusters fan, I watched each movie probably a thousand times, Watched the cartoon religiously, had all the toys, and my Mom even made me a ghostbusters outfit(which I wore every day).

From what I've seen/read, if you don't have the 360 version to compare it to, it's still a good looking game. And you'll still have fun playing it since both systems play the game exactly the same. Just when you compare the screens, you'll probably be disappointed at the lack of details in the PS3 version.Comment

So do we know the life span of the game? 5 hours, 10, more , less?Joshua:

Having alot of fun with the 360 version, but once again, I think its because its Ghostbusters. If this game was Bob and the Ghost Cleaners, I think people would be let down. If your a fan of the movies and such, you really can't go wrong with it. The fact the you playing and being interactive with these icons, is a blast. It just has that.....wash, rinse, repeat feeling to me

Also, all the little music and movie soundtrack bits, really add to games overall feel.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

The game really has no side missions per say, or a lot of other ways to "milk" it. I have not tried on-line MP yet, but I hear its a blast, which may lead to longer replay value obviously.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Ill post some ps3 impressions in a bit since I decided to pick it up. So far though the graphics are just fine though so if the head to head comparison scared you, don't let it, it plays and runs perfectly.Comment

Re: Ghostbusters....Yea, we're back!
Alright, well I've logged a good hour or so now with the game, and to echo the overall sentiments, this game is very, very fun. It may be in part due to the whole nostalgia factor, but I feel like I'm reliving my childhood dreams with this game, lol. It's honestly just a pretty standard action game, but the weapons, acting/voice work, writing also make it really unique.
Now, as far as the PS3/360 debate? It's obvious from the videos, etc, that the 360 version does look better. And I word it that way on purpose. The PS3 version does not look "worse" the 360 just looks "better". What I'm getting at, is everything is crisp and sharp, colors are good and there aren't any jaggies. The only things I notice, which I never would have had I not read the head to heads, is the missing "glowing embers" effect, and some random newspaper clippings being slightly blurred out. I have no idea where lensoftruth is getting the notion that "this is one of the blurriest ps3 games" they have played. Like I said, very crisp and vibrant, and as a comparison, looks NOTHING like the blurriness that was GTA.
So yah, if you have a PS3 and were wanting this game, then go get it, you won't regret itComment

Re: Ghostbusters....Yea, we're back!
Randel says that the PS3 could handle "double the amount of objects on screen." Thanks to the team's goal of making the game equal on both platforms, that won't be happening. He gives a further example that the PS3 version of the game has an entire processor dedicated to the game's audio, whereas the 360 version only has a portion of a single processor dedicated to audio. He concludes his remarks by noting "If we're doing a PS3 only game however, we could be doing a lot more. We could be pushing a lot more on the screen."
I'm just think Sony pushed them to hype the ps3 version of their licensed property a little to much perhaps. The ghostbusters name paired with sony fanboy fuel ensures great hype. Now that the game is out, they'll just sit back and shut up. It's still a nice ps3 game, they just set themselves up for this small blow back based on what they themselves said.Comment
