When can someone gets the game, can you please confirm whether or not it's possible to host private matches, or all matches setup on Ubi's dedicated servers?

If it's the latter, I'll be pissed.

If it's the latter, I'll be passing on this game for sure then. I mainly play terrorist hunt with buddies, but I loved playing OS games, and if we can't, forget it.

I have the 360 version and trust me the 360 version has framerate issues.

I've seen it first hand in the story, terrorist, and online mode. The issue pops up a lot more in the story and terrorist hunt mode though.

There's really no excuse for the framerate problem because this is the 2nd game that is using the same engine. And considering the graphics really haven't been improved, I wonder why the framerate is worse than the first game.

Can you host your own private lobby, or is everything setup on a dedicated server?

Man it sounds like this game is going to bomb. Ill be passing unless i hear it isnt all that bad online, or possibly a fix...but it looks like COD4 will be taking my PT still.

I was just doing some searching on other forums, people were talking about setting up games. So it sounds like it's still ok to set up private games. But it sounds like you won't rank up in them.

We may not know until we get it.

We were able to rank up in private matches in the original Vegas. I'd like to know if that's still the case. What's soured me on CoD4 is constantly playing with randoms.

Agreed, it's one of the things that got old with me on COD4, in order to get the weapons/perks, you had to play ranked games with randoms. I mean, it had a great party system (which R62 doesn't have at all) so that helped, but majority of the time, I played alone with 15 other randoms.

If I can't rank up to get weapons and what not in R62, then it's not worth it for me to play randoms again, I just don't have the time.

Don't you get points for even doing stuff like single player now? I imagine if they give you points in single player you will get points in private matches.

I wish Asian Flow would tell us, but he probably still hasn't gotten any points or kills yet.

Just read the TeamXbox review, how do you have a 3 page review and barely mention the multiplayer for this game? Seriously. They basically talk about it like a fact sheet, no real review impressions.

Good question but I don't have an answer. I would check for you but I'm currently in the Office and won't be home until late tonight.

For those wondering, you get XP in every gamemode whether you are offline or online so it's much quicker to rank up. Once again being an Elite gives you Custom camo.

Despite the framerate issues, if you enjoyed Vegas you should get Vegas 2.

After researching various boards, I am going to pass.

I am getting too old to have a bunch of games and COD4 is just flatout flawless and I enjoyed it more than I did the first RB6V.

And I am not a graphics whore, but framerate issues are a game killer to me.

If you can't play private matches, that is a HUGE mistake made by Ubisoft. How do you not have that as an option.
