First impression are ... Love it. Love the many ways you can interact and make different choices. I'm not very far at all but I can tell this is going to be a blast.
Since I'm waiting for some EA patches to hit, this ill fill the gap nicely.

I went to 6 stores in New York, 2 Best Buys, 4 Gamestops and NOBODY had the strategy guide, all sold out. So I will just order it from Amazon.

Matter of fact it is cheaper on Amazon, only 12.99 on their website.

Any tips for the third boss battle?

I beat him by throwing 3 frag grenades and than shooting him 5 or 6 times with the upgraded revolver while he was still stunned. That was on Give me Deux Ex difficulty.

Looking back (while, i'm currently on my second playthrough, so it's not REALLY looking back), i'm really not a fan of the boss battles. They mostly consist of "HOLY CRAP, RUN!" without much strategy involved. Sure, there is strategy in the way in which you defeat them, but there isn't much variety. It's basically throw as much firepower at them as you can, and for anyone doing a stealth playthrough, that may not be much. I know in the first boss fight, all I was carrying was a suppressed 10mm pistol, which did little to no damage. I had to resort to grenades, which I planned on just selling to vendors and not using.

Everything else about this game is five star quality, but if only the boss battles had more variety, this could have been a contender for best game this generation for me. As it is, it's still up there, which says a lot about the game.

Heng Sha Part 2 side-quest question....

So I go to the meat shop and head around the back to the hidden computer room to get info on Zelazny. I find a dead guard and pick up the pocket diary. I read it but it doesn't seem to have updated my quest information after reading. Now I know it makes mention of a sewer so I go check the sewers out but I don't find anything other than Harvesters.

Did I just get hit by a bug or can I still complete this? Where can I find this guy?

Also I agree 100% about the boss battles being unfortunately one note.

Deus Ex sells over 600K units in it opening week

Square's Deus Ex Human Revolution has sold very well if recently released chart data is anything to go by.
According to estimated worldwide figures released by Vgchartz, Deus Ex has sold around 656,000 units for the week ending the 27th of August - on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Most of the sales came from the Xbox 360 version with some 348K units, whereas the PS3 version saw 228K units with PC coming in at 80K. This is great news for Square Enix and good news for fans of the series, but we have to wonder; with a game in development for so many years, what will the magic number of units sold that it has to surpass to yield a profit margin for publisher Square.


Either way, it's out now and well worth checking out as it has been met with a slew of favourable reviews from across the board.

It's not a new IP, hence the number 3 in the title. The original Deus Ex is generally considered one of the better games ever made. And yes it is that good, the only complaints I have about are the boss battles being somewhat bland and the last level not being that interesting. The thing about the boss battles for me though is there only 4 in the whole game, and they represent such a small portion of the actual game that they didn't detract too much for me.

I need some help with a potential serious bug, guys. Spoilers for some vague story details.

Is anyone experiencing a bug in the Cloak and Dagger side mission in Detroit? I want to finish it before going on to China, but it seems that an enemy is not generating correctly. After I take out all the guys in Double-T's apartment, my map has a blue arrow indicating there's an enemy up somewhere that doesn't exist. I cannot advance past this point in the mission. PS3, btw.

Any known help or fixes would be appreciated.

Double T is one of the guys standing in the apartment. You have to take every one out but make sure Double T is only knocked out.
