Yes, it does.

Not to mention a couple parts of the game seem like they would be a pain in the butt to try and pull off non-lethally.

I gather that's what the invisibility augment is for. I'm going to give it a try eventually. It's going to take tons of patience and hundreds of reloads I'm sure.

One thing I can't wait to try eventually is taking control of a turret and then carrying it around the rest of the level. I haven't come across one yet since I thought of doing that.

My strategy guide arrived today !!!!!! Holy crap this book is huge, 336 pages. Definitely going to be playing this game multiple times.

I must say the online IGN and Gamespot strategy guides don't even have 1/4 of the stuff this guide has.

It lists all the multiple routes, all the dialogue trees, all the side quests, all the passwords, all the hidden stuff, all the weapons, all the weapon upgrades, all the augmentations. I am impressed.

I must say I thought I explored pretty damn good, but looking at this guide, I missed a lot of stuff because I even didn't think about trying different things.

You really do have to think outside of the box.

Just beat the game......next play through I am going to try to be way more stealhy. 1st play through, I was just killing everybody I came across.

Over all the best aug is the typhoon. Makes the boss fights end within 10 seconds. Just 2 blasts and every boss in the game will be dead.

Best weapon......exploding revolver and laser rifle......

Watching my cousin play through this without trying to help him too much is so damn frustrating. For some reason, its like his mind always only processes the direct route to the objective which is usually the dumbest route to go unless you want to kill everyone. Problem is, he never has any ammo. Also, going with the stun gun was his first mistake.

Just finished the game. Aside from the boss fights I have to say I loved every part of it. I did end up with about 6 unspent Piraxis points at the end though because there was really nothing else I wanted. I bought the Typhoon a little after the 2nd boss because I figured I would eventually use it, but I didn't use it once all game.

Final mission and ending spoilers.

Man it's a good thing I saved up all those gas grenades. I could have just used my shotgun but I felt bad shooting innocent workers. They were usually all huddled up so one grenade would put most to sleep.

I did sit there at the end though figuring which choice to take. I wasn't really a fan of any of them. The idea of letting Taggart and his group control regulation just seems like a bad idea since I could easily see them pulling some shady ****. Taking Darrow's confession would have gotten rid of all augmentations, but that just seems like backwards thinking to get rid of technology. Plus I have ******* arm swords. Augmentations are good for that. Also didn't feel it was right to take no responsibility for it and blow up the island.

So I reluctantly chose Sarif's idea. As much as I didn't want to completely lie and cover it up, Taggart is a douche and probably deserved what was coming.

I did end up going through all the endings though since it saves right beforehand.

Just beat it also.

I went pretty much Silent the entire way through with many many ghost bonuses. I went with 10mm silent Pistol all souped up, Machine pistol, and tranq rifle the entire game. I thought it was amazing you could literally get through entire game hardly ever killing anyone.

I had my cloak maxed out with energy recharge and extra cells. There was many many times I sneaked through entire areas just by using cloak.

I went with the ending of killing myself and island. I thought it was best left for humanity to decide rather than corporate or nutcases lol

I did also watch the other two endings after.

In the end one word can describe this game = AMAZING!!!

If this does not get mentioned for game of the year I will be truly sad. It is everything that made the original metal gears amazing. Great story, good cut scenes, good dialog, interesting characters, multiple ways to play, and lastly being a kick *** super solider!

My favorite game of the year easily

Shooting the tranq rifle at those heavy rifle troops has a delay of like 10 seconds before they get knocked out, and by that time they may have moved into another guards view, alarming them that you are close by.

The stun gun itself isn't bad, he just sucks horribly with it and would do much better with the tranq rifle. I love the tranq rifle though when necessary so far.

I'm with you on the souped up 10mm Phobia. Always love silenced pistols in games.

Dude it was beast by end of game. Damage increase mod, Silencer, like 3 ammo capacity increases, couple reload increases, and bought all the ammo I could find everytime lol.

Who needed the stun gun when a silent round to the skull would permanently put people to sleep unable to be woken up

Example; I had this cool little segment on one of the later missions. I knocked this guy out in hand to hand, but I alarmed another guy a little distance away. He comes running over, so I crouch behind a planter box. Right as he gets near me I hit cloak and walk behind him. He is looking all over for me as I put a round in back his head to put him nighty nighty.

So many cool moments in this game!

Oh and the immune to electrical mod which is in the Leg section makes the last boss (the chick) EXTREMELY easy. I just walked around in open as the ground shocked in different sections. Extremely glad I bought that early on.
