Not to come across like a jerk, but if you know all that stuff (that you don't have the time), why bother buying the game/DVDs right away (only to let it sit in the plastic)? Why don't you just wait? You'll end up getting alot of those games and DVDs cheaper, too. Is it a compulsive/impulsive spending issue? You see something and you *have* to buy it, despite knowing you don't have time for it?

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I rarely used to finish games since I would teeter off for some reason. I would move on to other games and just never get back to them.
Over the last year or two though I've been better about finishing them and it's not that I buy fewer games, I just finish some games before starting more of them. So before I would be playing 4-5 games at once, now I'll play two or something at once and finish them up (not including multiplayer) and then takes others out of the wrap.
So for example, I'm still playing COD4 and TF2 multiplayer, but I finished up Uncharted, Ratchet, and COD4 single player so now I'm playing Assassins Creed and finishing up Half-Life 2 Episode 1+2. After I'm done those two I'll dig into Kane and Lynch and Mass Effect and Galaxy.
....Looming finals are totally throwing me off my game though.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Re: Do you guys actually finish games
Typing all that out made me think the same thing. I have a 4 year old daughter and a wife thats always seems to need my attention. Plus I'm the cook in the house. Not to mention I have over 600 dvds and probably about 550 of them are still in the plastic. I just seem to never have the time.
Then along came COD4 and I have been stuck on that game, so any amount of free time I have I am playing the MP.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

No. The last game I finished was Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. I can't even remember the last game I finished before that.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I feel your pain, especially since I just picked up Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, Lego Star Wars Saga, Mass Effect, COD4, Bioshock, The Darkness, History Channel Civil War, and RB6 Vegas. I should not "need" to buy a came for a while, but the only one of these I've managed to finish so far is COD4. I was about 1/2 of the way through Assassin's when my little boy overwrote my saved game, and I have no urge to plod through the beginning again.
I for sure will finish Halo 3, Star Wars, Bioshock, and Vegas. Mass Effect is not pulling me in the way that KOTOR did, but I'm still very early in the game. I'm having fun with Civil War, but it is hard to deal with the slow gun loading after having played COD4. Bioshock is awesome, but I hate the puzzles. I'm looking forward to trying out The Darkness next week, as I have heard lots of good things about it.
I guess I'm glad I decided to pass on CH2K8 and NBA2K8 this year, as I think I may be busy the rest of the year!Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
Only games I ever seem to finish are FPS (Halo 3, COD4, RB6) but I did beat Bioshock.
Don't think I've beaten another, non-FPS game...maybe ever. Another game always comes out and I switch to that.
I plan on beating Hitman, Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect over Christmas break, though. And maybe finally picking up the Condemned and Kane and Lynch.Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I've beaten both God of War video games.
I've beaten two of the three Prince of Persia video games.
I plan to beat Assassin's Creed. Still working on it.
I rarely play the single player for shooter games. I just like to get online and own bitches.Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I'm actually going to start Oblivion over since I haven't played it since July and I now feel completely out of the story. For my 360 I beat Halo 3 (which is weird since I never played all of Halo 2 and didn't own the first one), TMNT, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and that's about it. When I first got my 360 I bought Gears of War, PGR 3, and Mlb 2k7. A couple weeks later I bought Rainbow Six. Never really got into GoW (I'm going to trade it in this week), I like PGR, but I just hardly ever play it. I played a lot of mlb, and Rainbow I just bought for online, so I never even made it out of the first level. But Rainbow is great online, so I never play any of them offline (Black Arrow, RS3, Lockdown - never touched single player).
I've started renting games that don't have the high replayability. I really like TMNT, but it only took about a week to finish, so it was a good rental. Marvel took a little longer, but still beat it in the one rental. I love Blockbuster's rental policy. You have a week after the due date, then they "sell" it to you. After the day they "sell" it to you, you have a month to return it and they well "unsell" it for $1.20. Pretty good deal I thought. Whey they gave you free rental coupon every month on Blockbuster Online, I could rent a game for a month and a half for $1.20. Now it costs me a $4.99 to rent the game, so it still isn't bad. A lot cheaper than buying then trading in.
On old Xbox, it took me like a year to beat Morrowind, and I beat both KoTOR's three times each and that about covers it for actually beating games. I'm going to rent Bioshock, Assasian's Creed, and Mass Effect over the next few months and give those a run. Try to actually beat them. But I am going to wait until I have beaten Oblivion.Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I haven't finished a game in a long time - I just get bored with most games these days, and a lot of games that I do play a lot are unbeatable. GH, WoW, and sports games.Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I usually will finish the campaign modes at sometime with the games that i purchase. There are some games that i rent that i do not have enough time to finish it. But i like beating the story modes to see what happens at the end.Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
I usually only buy FPS/action games in the summer when I have been burned out on sports games and I run through them pretty fast. I will play around 5 seasons of NCAA which have 12 games on average that take at least an hour to play which is alot of time when u break it down.
Last action game I finished was prolly God of War 2 back when I had the PS3. Crazy that I spent 75% of my time playing a damn PS2 game on the PS3Comment

Re: Do you guys actually finish games
The only games I've finished in a long time are the KOTOR games. This thread has inspired me though. I'm going to start finishing a game at a time (at least the non-sports games) and then decide to keep or trade them.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095
