I think is COD4 set in WW2. Not a bad thing. Graphics as pretty as COD4. Online appears pretty much the same. That said, I love the game."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

I like the maps in this game better than COD4. If you loved COD4, you need to get this.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Call of Duty 5: World at War (PS3/360)
Yeah, not a whole lot has changed from COD 4. Of course the guns are different, different perks, it feels like COD 4 (which isn't bad) with new maps. For some, that's not enough to put $60 bucks down, but as much playing time I got out of COD 4, I can see myself playing COD WaW just as much. Don't let the effort of COD 3 change your mind, COD WaW is on the same level of COD 4 to me.Comment

I tried a few more matches online this morning and it just isn't fun with most randoms. No strategy at all, just a run and gun-get leveled up as soon as you can-no team work game. With the right group of players it can be very fun however like COD4.
Bottom line for me is when I'm playing it I'm thinking about when I get back to Fallout 3 or Far Cry2. It was just a bad decision for me to pick it up as the single player experience is more important and COD WaW bores ME in single player.Joshua:

Re: Call of Duty 5: World at War (PS3/360)
I just popped this in for about an hour or so, and played the campaign to get some of the rust off. I haven't touched COD4 for at least a few months. So far so good though. If you really liked COD4 then there's no reason you wont really like this. Some might say they don't have as much interest in another WWII game, but I think if they had stayed with some kind of modern warfare theme it would've felt EXACTLY the same.
It's feels just like COD4 but at the same time it is different enough to feel fresh with the Pacific environment and the WWII weaponry. I can't wait to give the MP a spin in a little while. Everyone I've talked to so far has said they are loving the new maps. Now, more than everComment
