Well, it's technically CoD4 with old maps, perks, and weapons.

Posted this in the Gears thread too...

Wonder if anyone has a Gold Lancer code for Gears 2 that they don't plan on using? I could offer a COD5 M1A1 code in exchange.. Got that code for pre-ordering through Gamestop to get into the beta and then immediately cancelled my pre-order.. Got the email for the M1A1 code yesterday and I don't plan on buying COD5.

One of my guys will pass by an enemy and the enemy will shoot at me and my team will do nothing but fire ahead aimlessly. This makes me feel like it's a one vs all instead of being part of a group. Another thing is if you stay in a spot and kill guys before moving on instead of rushing towards your objective the enemy will keep pouring out like there's an endless supply, instead of there being like 20 guys in a mortar bunker you have to kill. Even with these few small things I love the game it's a great WWII game and easily on the same level with COD4.
Yeah, I noticed these same quirks as well. It seems like they just carried over for COD4 because I noticed them in that one as well. The one that bugs me the most is when you stay in one spot and attack a certain area you could stay there all day facing an endless supply of enemies. But as soon as you progress forward in the map all is well.

It is, but it's more. The gameplay is tougher. Most people on my friends list do not have a ratio over 1 after leveling up to around 15 or so. You can't grenade spam like before and it is tougher to kill off 4-5 guys in a row by flanking. I am at .81 right now on level 23, and it's tough to get that score.

The maps are better then COD4 IMO.

Complaint : Ground War should have an option for Ground War death match. I hate playing capture the flag (it alternates), and some of the maps are way too big for anything less then 9 v 9.

I haven't even touched single player yet. This game is so good online, I have not even thought to.

I'm just not feeling this game and I'm a huge CoD guy.

I also don't know why alot of people bashed CoD3. Damn I thought that game was fun. I loved the options of motorcycles and being able to "joyride".

I feel the opposite; my friend got it and I played for a good two hours, and I was at a 1.71 kill/death ratio. Maybe I just wasn't playing with that good of players, but still.

Plus, if it's tougher for you, wouldn't it be tougher for everybody? What I mean is wouldn't the playing field simply level out, and you'd still be as good as you used to be?

Played the single player for a little bit - that had very much a been there done that a million times type of feeling.

Multiplayer I had a blast playing last night, the maps had a fresh feel to them.. the dogs once they are released are a pain in the a**, seems like a very good step up with some of the changes/ additions in the game from COD4.

I also picked it up last night & hit rank 8. To me it is definitely a little harder due to the primative weapons from WWII. Just have to get used to them but all in all the maps are pretty fun.

Easiest way to kill the dogs is the knife them when they get close. Also I just had one of my best games ever! I was in a Free for All game on Makin and got killed right off the bat. Then I went on a Rampage. I went 30 and 5, and I joined late. I even got a 20 some kill streak. I was using that second Rifle that you unlock that starts with a G. I dont remember the name. What also helped me out is when I ran out of ammo, I found a thomson and started to kill with that.

                            31-5? Doesn't it end after 30 kills?

I agree, best way to kill dogs is to knife them. I love hearing the yelp!

Yes very much. At lvl 1 there are like 5 zombies, at lvl 5 they start to run and break through certain walls, at lvl 10 they get more resistant to damage, at lvl 15 or so you beter have a Lazer Pistol because bullets wont work 2 good. I mean there are a couple that do but it takes a little longer, at lvl 20 there is so many. I have never made it past that.
