Just played for hours on the new maps. They are excellent. I love the daytime outdoor one. It is like playing fort with your friends or something..lol. Just cool.

I'm very hesitant after cod4's maps. I tried to believe that I liked them, but I didn't/don't - the best one was the tv station imo, but even that one wasn't my cup of tea. I might wait two weeks or something and see if people still dig 'em.

I like COD 4's map extensions, but these are FAR better. Honestly..it is worth the purchase. I prefer COD4 to WAW also, but when it comes to map expansions, WAW wins.

Thanks for the tip. I've actually grown to like WAW more, specifically because it's better for the sniper and the pace is a bit less panic/stressful probably has a lot ot do with the larger maps. Another great thingis you can run while planting betties, and a few other very 'little' things. 4 has better graphics and is slightly tighter, but the MP nod goes to WAW (very suprising to me since I hold infinity ward in such high regard especially compared to the previous game's comparisons, but I just can't deny it -- this game's mp is BETTER!)

I actually prefer the MP of COD4. It plays a lot smoother to me. I was playing hardcore team deathmatch with some friends on it, and we were just loving the whole experience. I was close to saying I am about done with WaW due to the framerate and the lack of cool guns, but the new maps sucked me back in for the time being. I think having both is the best way to go.

My opinion is that there are about 3-4 360 games a year that I must buy. COD is in that category.

Yeah, there is a big difference between TDM and HardcoreTDM - I think you're right, about HTDM better on 4, but regular TDM to me is more appealing in 5. #4 could have kept going w/ map packs if it weren't for WAW too, but I just wish they made it better value - like give us 5 maps for $10 you know?

I agree with you about the must buy's - but I usually get a bit more:wink:
(offtopic)The only must buy for me this year is UFC, and other may become that way too - heavily leaning towards fightnight4, Arma2/OPF2 (whatever's better or both), Deer hunter tournament, alpha protocall, cod6. There might be a couple I'm forgetting - but 4-5 + great games a year is good, because the great ones get lots of play time. Like Fallout for me, which obviously overlapped into this year...anyway I'm getting too far off topic.

I need these maps asap can i buy the points from the store or am i able to buy them from xbox live? And if i buy the card from the store can add them thru xbox live?

You can buy points cards at any Gamestop or big-box retailer,or online.
Then you just redeem the code on Live,and use the points for the maps.
To buy the points from Live,you must use a credit card.

P.S.,most retailers charge tax on the cards,Gamestop doesn't.

damn you methlab! I bought them, and I like them, but I have a lack of self control w/ vids. I had no intention of getting them, your comments, plus a buddy had them - he hadn't even tried them though, and I went from being like "i don't know...I'll wait and see" to - " NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW"

haha. they are great. once you learn the good routes and hot spots you will love those maps.

It's double xp untill the 25th. I bought the maps last night and although i though it was cool they added a map pack playlist, I liked how Cod4 integrated the maps into the normal playlists right away.

I don't like buying map packs in games and then not getting to play them in the playlists that i normally play for 6 months **cough halo*

There's a message that says they will be availble in other ggame modes. Go to the new maps and look to left or right, I forget which way
