Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Jamaica is bone dry. Can't even find the controller out here, unless you have it reserved for Gamestop. I might check Chinatown this weekend, but it looked like people weren't even smelling an early copy.
The buzz is very high though. This could be a serious, serious hit.Comment

HAHA! I hope you have loaded up on painkillers, Vast!
Smart move ordering the controller. It's possible that it'll be tough to pick it up when the game comes out. For everyone else in NY, here is a heads up. J&L trading IS selling the controller right now. I'm going to grab it today or tomorrow.
We sell video games and consoles for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch as well as retro video games and consoles ranging from Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System, to Dreamcast and much more. We are New York City's premiere independently owned Video Game Store.
Of course I'll look for the game while I'm in Chinatown, but I highly doubt anyone will find it. I want to get the controller early to give impressions and get used to it if it's good.
I'll be trying it out on the SFTurbo HD demo and Soul Calibur IV.
****Early Release Alert****
California guys, check your 7-11s. NYkers, same thing, but so far no news for us. SFIV does NOT have an enforced street date, so wherever you find it, it's okay for them to sell it.Last edited by Bornindamecca; 02-13-2009, 04:52 PM.Comment

My roommate is a beast with the sticks at SSF2THD remix, so I'll always have great competition nearby. (in my best arnold impersonation) "Don't underestimate me Mr. McHale.""I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
I've read 2 reviews and they both said the D-pad is EXCELLENT. The best since the Sega Saturn if not better than the Saturns D-pad. So im really excited. Im dying to get my hands on the controller early. for the game i can wait a week tho since i can play SSF2THDR"I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
The bad news is, no SFIV in chinatown for the console.
Great news all around besides that.
First and most important, the controller is beyond perfect. This is the best executing gamepad I've ever played. yes, I've played the Saturn and all of the six buttons for the various consoles. This beats their faces off. If you even *like* fighting games, you have to get it.
If you get SFIV and you play with the playstation OR Xbox controller, you secretly hate yourself, and not getting control is how your subconscious is manifesting it.
And now for some pics from Chinatown Arcade.
As you can see, they have chairs and a separate monitor for each player. That's wassup. Right now the competition in Chinatown is pretty garbage by their standards. They've got some nice combos, but they are pretty beatable right now. If anyone is going to go down there to sharpen their game, now is the time to go. In three to six weeks, it will be much harder to get wins there.Comment
