Football fans are bitter @ EA. Baseball fans are bitter @ 2k/take, lol. Thats what I get from alot of the posts. Me personally, Id just like to have this whole exclusivity thing done with and have it like the old days.

My biggest problem with the football licenses is that EA bought every possible football license they could to keep 2k and anyone else out of the game. It wasnt just the NFL license. Hey I understand its business but I personally didnt like that. Even tho college baseball isnt a large videogame market as far as I know, EA is still allowed to make a licensed game.

Also I think alot of my fellow football fans would be less hung up on this debate if EA actually expanded their football games. For the past couple of years both madden and ncaa have taken steps back in my opinion. With the coming of next gen and this exclusive license I thought EA would really go to work on Madden and NCAA. 08 versions were a big improvement and it seems like their getting on track a little now but, nowhere near where I thought they would be. Lets hope for the best for Madden and NCAA 09!!!

The last time the boys from Visual Concepts worked in-house for EA they helped lay the foundation for all of the great Madden titles in 90's; so the VC guys possibly going back to EA is a good thing in my opinion and I hope that it happens.

I don't care if I only have one option for sports gaming, I don't need six football games, eight soccer games, and four b-ball games...As long as I have one solid game for each genre I'm good, and if EA and VC team up again I'm almost certain that outstanding games for each genre would be the result.

If this happened, I would just stop playing sports games besides The Show. EA has pretty much ruined them for me anyway and everything so called Next Gen has been a disapointment in my book. You see shades of something new only to be crushed by some bug or something that needs patched months after release. At least you can see some difference in 2K games year to year, but if you take the competition out, then we will see the same crap released each year as EA does now only worse.

I am hopeful it does not happen!

NHL 08 is amazing. NCAA 08 is decent. The others just suck.

ive heard "rumors" that MS is going to revive XSN and that there is a very good chance they are going to buy Take2.

They might but Fifa 08 is a brilliant football/soccer game One that surpasses even the best that konami offered with winning eleven...
