Re: Devil May Cry, PS3 or 360 ?
Whatever Sony is going to do about achievements/trophies, they better do it with the Home release because people want them, obviously developers want them since they're putting them into games already even without Sony support.Comment

Re: Devil May Cry, PS3 or 360 ?
I remember playing Crackdown (which I loved) and beating it real quick. I spent a hell of a lot of time just gathering achievements after that. It actually gives the games a lot more replay value.

According to that IGN Playstation podcast, load times on the PS3 are 1/2 a second to 1 second long while they are 5-10 on the 360 depending on the level. This is based off the preview builds they have.
But then you have Mielke from 1UP saying...
"The PS3 has not-that-noticeably shorter load times between screens, but that's like 2 seconds versus the Xbox 360's 3 second loads. Seriously, count out 3 seconds."Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Devil May Cry, PS3 or 360 ?
well, I don't know if I'll really get into Home, but I kind of liked how the 360 profile showed your recent games played, reputation stars, and achievement score. I want something similar on the ps3. They already have a little info in the profiles for people on your friends list, so it shouldn't be too difficult to pool some info over to that once they get it going. I don't really think I'll get into making a whole avatar person and dressing him kind of stuff.Comment

Devil May Cry 4 Demo Available This Thursday
That’s right kids, you heard it here first: The Devil May Cry 4 demo you’ve heard about will be up on XBox Live and PlayStation Network this Thursday, January 24, 2008. We’re told to expect it up on XBox Live at 2am PST, and between 2 and 3pm PST on PlayStation Network.
Upside: this demo is actually fun.
Downside: While there will be plenty of devil-bringification and even a pretty sweet boss battle against this guy (boss battles are definitely a major highlight of the full game), it is just a demo, and only scratches the surface of the DMC4 fun. Even if I weren’t shilling shamelessly for Capcom, I’d still have to say this is probably the best Devil May Cry ever.
Check it out Thursday, and read on for more details about the demo, and of course pick up the full game, available February 5th.
The demo introduces gamers to the gothic-inspired supernatural world of Devil May Cry 4, new protagonist Nero and the awesome power of his Devil Bringer. The demo consists of a sampling of sections from the full game, chosen to showcase Devil May Cry 4’s varied locales and allows gamers to familiarize themselves with Nero’s unique abilities. Players will receive instruction on the various new actions that the Devil Bringer bestows, such as the ability to slam creatures to the ground, cover great distances in a single bound or even grab enemies while on the ground or in the air and pull them towards Nero to continue the attack combo. The Exceed system allows Nero to “rev up” his sword as if it were a motorbike throttle and unleash devastating attacks. Players will need to master all these techniques before the end of demo showdown with the mighty Berial.
Fully demonstrating the power of the next generation of consoles, the Devil May Cry 4 demo brings to life the coastal city of Fortuna and its surroundings, such as the port and snow-capped mountain ranges in exquisite detail. Devil May Cry 4 delivers its intense action at a constant 60 frames per second at 720P resolution on HD monitors, ensuring seamless and breathtaking gameplay all in stunning high definition.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Devil May Cry, PS3 or 360 ?
The demo is fun to play. The fire demo boss is crazy. I could not beat him. The 360 demo is buggy when it comes to running but the ps3 demo has smoother running. The final build for boths systems will be great. The audio sounds excellent in this game also... looking forward to the release.Comment

Re: Devil May Cry, PS3 or 360 ?
this game feels like a vampire inspired God of War
The ONLY thing wrong is that the jumping up and down feels tacked on and last gen due to the fact that it feels like you are pulled down as son as you jump which isn't cool. other than that all the controls are slick and the camera is perfect easy to lock on easy to change views etc.
