    Pretty much agree with this.

While not a hardcore Diablo player, I've certainly sunk my share of time into both D2 and D3. The difference imo is that D3 has a less steep leveling slope, but the slope is much longer in this one resulting in more difficulty at higher level.

I don't think the game on the higher difficulties is easy but I don't think I've hit the point where I would be dying regularly.

It's easy in the story mode. Story mode is like a tutorial really. Go a few levels above your pay grade in Rifts and you will die many times.

Is there any reason at all to run my necro through campaign?

Zero reason to, even in season there's not much point unless it's for a particular conquest.

Unless you enjoy the content, more efficient to grind rifts/bounties.

Thanks. That's what I figured. I moved right into adventure mode.

I prefer Greater Rifts, not only is there the usual pressure to stay alive but there's a time element to finish as quickly as possible.

Can someone really explain to me adventure mode? I understand that there are different levels of difficulty (like, a ton!) but what exactly is there to do in them? I've heard rifts, greater rifts and a few other things but I don't totally understand what's going on.

It's just open-world, random questing with horadric caches as the reward for completing 5 specific quests (bounties) per act. Rifts and Grifts aren't really adventure mode itself, just one component of endgame. Adventure mode is another endgame component, as you cannot access it until you complete the campaign.

Diablo 3 being what it is, the map layouts where you do this questing will always be procedurally generated, and rarely if ever the same.

Double XP was nuts this weekend. Took my guy to a P250 level and can plow through T30 rifts. I would say before the weekend started, I was maybe clearing T12s.

Took advantage of the double xp as well. Trying to get to GR 70 with my crusader so I can open up primal ancients. Could only get up to level 64. Going to have to farm better gear or change sets. Was trying Invoker set for my crusader. Really want those primals. Anyone else do a 70 rift? Game is brilliant. Level 70 is just where it begins to open up.

Just don't burn out before the season. Get to start all over in a few days!

Diablo III is a genre-defining action-RPG set in Sanctuary, a world ravaged by the eternal conflict between angels and demons.

I was able to do 70+ with my demon hunter during the first week of the season. It was good for top 2000 on the demon hunter leaderboards at the time, but I'm sure my GR time is no longer up there now.

The primals are damn rare. I only found one primal and I believe it was a pair of magefists which didn't benefit my current build at the time. It would be amazing if a primal weapon dropped and it happened to be the key weapon of your build.

Competition with your friends and everyone on leaderboards. Gear, pets and unique sets you cannot get anywhere else. Challenges to complete to get unique rewards. It's rather addictive!

Hmm interesting. I'll have to read up more on it and get a good understanding of what it's all about.
