Not without a second system/TV. They didn’t really change the UI at all, so I don’t think it will ever work as a co-op until they do. Runs smooth, but inventory management is going to be painful.

Just hit my first roadblock on the season play. I’m on the fifth chapter, and I can’t beat the Butcher on Torment 7. He has an attack where he whips you back towards him, and even if I wear a Shield and have my bone armor up as high as possible, he will eventually kill me with a one shot. Just found a justice lantern ring I think is what it was called, and I’m going to try it tomorrow with a legendary gem that staggers damage over seconds. Can’t think of anything else to try. Playing the Necromancer.

I did master the first set dungeon, which I was pretty proud of, but can’t do the other ones yet as I’m missing the gear.

That worked, but can only get up to level 38 on the Nephalim Power rift. Can take damage higher but not deal enough to finish solo. On chapter 6 now of Season. Definitely gonna be tough to finish. Doubt I make it.

Haven't played in a few seasons. Do they not give out the haedrics gift anymore? The set bonus from that plus a decent weapon was usually good enough to take you up to like tX at least.

There was a set given as part of the season reward, but the attributes I got on it sucks (no resist all on any piece of it). I was able to get through the set Dungeon with it, but no way could I use it in the game. Think my only way forward now is running Power Rifts and upgrading my gear with Augment Ancient recipe from the cube. Will be a long / grueling process. I can run T7 right now safely, and can push T8, but on the Power Rift I struggle to do enough damage as I've switch out my damage gear for protection.

Doing a pet build with the Necromancer. If I could start over, I'd name my Necromancer 'Redenbacher', because I lure monsters into a big group, and then start corpse exploding, and it's like popcorn with all the pop, pop, pop.

Ah yeah looks like the necro gift was tragouls which wouldn't be good for a pet build. You probably need to get rathma.

Its been about a year since I played so I might be outdated, but damage > resist. Resist is very important too. But the key is you want just enough resist to not die and everything else in damage.

Might have to give season 17 a go next month. Will be interesting to see how it plays out now that set gear isn't the only way to go.

Looked up some Pet builds and I was using about 85% of what others are doing (minus their gear, as I haven't found most of it yet). Difference is they used damage increase on Skeletal Mages, and I was using leave corpse, as I could spam them and then blow them up. Trade off is that approach allows me to take down bosses and grouped enemies really quick, but then any single monsters is really, really slow. Changing to their abilities, I could go through things at a more consistent pace, with a more even run time regardless of boss / spread / grouped monsters. It was a little more faster too, not a lot though.

I'm working to level up the legendary gems. Going to try the gem that decreases non-physical damage and change back to some of my critical hit / damage gear after switching and see if I can go further. Right now, it looks like T9 is my limit. I will pass/fail there right now after changing skills.

I miss my popcorn approach though. It was definitely a LOT more fun to play. Sitting waiting for pets to kill isn't near as much fun as trying to group 'em and pop 'em.

I need to google and figure out what happens after a Season ends. Hope I don't lose everything I've found / earned.

Update: Hope this is still accurate. Well done Blizzard! -- https://us.diablo3.com/en/blog/17152...pect-1-27-2015

Yep end of season rewards are still the same. Note that you will need to log on and claim your rewards within like 90 days of e season closing.

I agree on the popcorn approach. One of the more fun things about necro was activating land of the dead and turning the screen into a Michael Bay movie. Unfortunately though eventually you run into a wall and really need more single target damage. No idea what the current meta is, but a good pet build used to be rathma full set to get all the pet damage bonuses.

As far as legendary gems go Bane of the trapped is basically the universal gem almost every build needs.

My favorite necro build was the completely OP blood lance when necro was first released. The only bad thing was it did kind of suck needing to play around land of the dead for your damage window. Though I guess it wasn't all that different from wizard/arching which was also fun.

That's what everyone was using that I pulled up. I think I have one piece, and again, the bonuses stink on it. Biggest difference I saw with the builds I pulled up was the gear. I don't have any of the gear they were using, though I did have a couple of the powers they were using through Kanai's cube.

Just noticed they are using a Unity ring. I have several, but none with good stats, or a socket. Maybe that's what I need to reduce damage.

Got the Pestilence set and can go further now. Was cake to do the Set dungeon with it. Still need to reroll a couple of pieces. Hopefully they end with more pluses. One only has 3 stats. Ughh.

Season 17 begins later today, and I'm thinking about messing around in it. I'm on PC so I'm not sure if there is cross play, but let me know if anyone wants to group up.

Edit - forgot how bad the early season grind was. I got my DH up to 47 tonight. The multi shot build is the starting set so that should be good for gearing up any other character in decide to make.

I was wrong. Demon hunter gets the shadow set to start with. I've never played a melee build demon hunter but the early returns are great. Fresh into my complete season journey set I can 1 shot bosses on t8 difficulty with my single target.

Well I'm maxed out at GR 63 with this build. I can still kill elites and bosses relatively fast (~6 impales), but my aoe damage can't really deal with all the trash making me very squishy. Still though, not bad considering my gear is still very noobish. I have the 6 piece shadow set ( not ancient and no dockets) either average legendary gear everywhere else. I've had some terrible luck with khadala. Ive spent about 6000 blood shards trying to find a decent belt, but still nothing.

I've been playing. First time in a few seasons, but it's been fun. My DH is around paragon 350. Just started gearing up a wizzy too. Affy#1883 if you want to group up.

Changed some things around and I was able to do GR 65 with more than 8 minutes to spare. I've spent about 20k shards at kadala, and she hasn't given me a single item I wanted.

I'm still missing 2-3 pieces to complete my DH's setup, at least with basic gear.
