Ubernoob maybe could craft us some decent armor so we don't get killed my fellow DH's? I'm going to try some builds tonight or if I can sneak in some time at work this afternoon lol

Are you guys selling your magic items you don't use or salvaging them? I've been doing a little of both, but I see vendors sell Subtle Essence for less than most of my magic items can be sold for. Wondering if I should just sell all my items to vendors and then buy the crafting stuff as needed.

I haven't even seen it show up in shops yet. At this point I'm selling the items I don't use mostly because I have well over 100 Subtle essences saved up and they start taking up multiple inventory slots when you have that many. Plus there isn't any equipment from the Smithy that I actually want to make, so no need to keep collecting the craft items for now.

I've thought about auctioning some of it too - granted you won't get an immediate return unless there's a buyout, but if someone actually buys it you'll almost certainly get more back than if you sold at a shop, right?

I think its only really worth selling rares. Most of the magical items probably won't get much or get sold at all on the AH.

Right now at L19 I'm using:

              Primary: Entangling Shot, Shock Collar
              Secondary: Chakram, Twin Chakrams

              Caltrops, Tortuous Ground
              Vault, Action Shot
              Evasive Fire
              Strafe
              Passive: Steady Aim

It's all built around keeping my distance. Evasive Fire is actually my most used attack as it has no cooldown and only expends discipline when the backflip happens. If I start getting in trouble or am facing tougher (or lots of) foes, the caltrops and Chakrams come into play. And as I mentioned before, Vault is my escape if I'm truly cornered.

The glass-cannon-ness comes from the fact that I have almost all magic equipment to increase dexterity (DH primary attribute) which increases the damage a DH does. The armor is weak for act II right now, though, and I have to be very careful not to get hit much. I do have a few pieces that increase Vitality (Life), but not many.

I'll feel better about maintaining a build like this as soon as I can find some "___ of the Hawk" equipment that's more suited to my level armor-wise. But right now it's pretty fun moving all around and trying to avoid being hit at all.
What kind of damage is your DH dealing? Is there a reason some good weapons and armor are sold for like 5 gold, while other lesser weapons and armor go for more? I'm just wondering because I have some warrior gear that I want to sell.

At level 20 now, 70.13 DPS, helped greatly by a Dexterity stat of 161. My weapons are still pretty low level compared to my character though, so that stat could go up pretty easily as soon as I find some better crossbows.

Is it worth it to level BS? I'm just curious because it's like 2K to level your bs skill....

Anyhow, I'll be on tonight if anyone wants to join in. Going to fool around with my skill sets

Whoa....I was going to agree with you on this, until I saw this (not a spoiler, it just seems to keep the pictures from being messed up):

                      Spoiler

There are some desperate people out there - 2500 would be around in-game Merchant price for that! And I sold one of my rares at the buyout price too! Maybe I left that one a little low....lol.

I just posted those a few hours ago, with a bid of 300 on the magic one and 600 on the Rare. Buyout price was paid on both.

Yeah, as soon as I hit 43 I'm gonna start going through A2 with some of the RL friends I was playing with last night. MelMan can attest to that group, even though our highest DPS joined up after he left (but I don't know him. Buddy of mine played SWTOR with him.)

He's a DH, and it was sickening the damage he put out when he crafted his new weapon.

I can make lower level armors (I just dont have any mats, so keep salvaging stuff.) Higher levels too, im just out of smithing pages (NM drop) since I used them to level. Don't need em anymore though, since to level smithing to 7 I need tomes now.

Anyways. I go home from work real soon. As always, feel free to shoot me a tell if you need help with any of the bosses or anything else.

It surprisingly runs perfect on my laptop with the lower graphics settings. I'm at the end of Act 2 right now and really enjoying the game.

I think the gameplay is better than Diablo 2 but the gear is less interesting. I also miss being able to assign my own stats, but it's a great game regardless. There are gameplay moments that are well beyond anything that had been in any of the previous Diablo games.
