Looking at other players and forum posts elsewhere, it seems like I need to adjust my wizard's stats. The toughness and DPS should be flipped it seems so right now I have too much toughness and not enough pure DPS

Crusader a lot of fun. Got to about 40 last night during a full play through on normal.

I've been changing talents around, got my wizard with self-buffs up to 635k damage and 4 million toughness. Finally got a legendary weapon, re-enchanted it which gave a gem slot so that helped a ton.

That's around where I am. Im around 640k damage and 5.5mil toughness on my wizard. Can't wait to upgrade my weapon to something with a slot or two so I can put out some nasty crit damage.

The gem slot was a huge value for me, I think with the crit gem it put it at 40% damage over my previous weapon. Tonight I think I'll do a few practice runs on Torment 1 to see how well the wizard handles it since Master is easy at this point.

Just joined up in the OS community...man D3 is so much different than I remember it being. I've been reading this thread for the past couple weeks and you all convinced me to get back into it and to eventually pick up RoS. I love the new loot system so much, I immediately upgraded a lot of my gear and have found a couple legendaries since starting on Act V

I can do t1 in a group but when elite mobs have chains or lighting i go down fast.

Going to break down and buy RoS. Will need lots of OS help to get reacquainted with the game. Marvel Heroes has taken up lots of my time, but am eager to try D3 one more time. Thing is - I hate horror games so I just skip the cutscenes lol

I just restarted because I couldn't stand the way it was before. I didn't make it out of act I with my first character.

Just got back in and...wow, this new loot system is INCREDIBLE compared to the last one. I managed to upgrade all my gear in about 10 minutes.

Gonna be a while before I get up to any of you other guys though...only 18 right now...*sigh*

I have a few questions. I last played a game of this type with Asheron's Call on a dial up modem so it's been a while.

Are you guys playing on a pc, xbox, ps3 or...? I own a ps4 and I see they are developing the game for the ps4 but I'm not sure if it will be better than the pc version.

Do you play online or offline? Is the game single player or multi player? Is it a continually evolving world or is it a linear game in which you finish in a certain amount of time?

I'm pretty close to you, stat wise. My wizard is around 560k in DMG but a lot more in elem damage % and pretty much the same toughness wise. I'm having so much fun with the class. Feels so good to just kill everything in a room so quick.

I think the majority of us in this thread are on the PC, although I believe there's a few console guys. The experience is going to be different with analog controls vs. KB+mouse and I honestly can't imagine trying to play it with a controller. I guess it works though, because I think the console version sold well (due in no small part to being an offline game, and the first to have the new loot system).

For PC, the game is entirely online - you have to log into the server to play. It can be single or multiplayer though - the monster toughness and density ramps up as more players join the game (up to 4). Diablo is a linear game on its main questline, but it's also one that is slightly different every time you play. Maps are generated procedurally, which means that the objectives stay the same but can be in many different locations. The layouts of dungeons change, too.

Yeah, the damage bonuses that don't show up on character sheets is what makes builds shine.

I have so many pieces that are either + to cold damage % or + to arcane orb damage %. Every piece that can get either of those rolls has it. My highest crit now is around 10mil, with a nice black hole setup which is rare, but normally my orb crits for 5mil-ish.

At either 45 or 50% crit chance. Sadly, though, until I can get a weapon with two sockets my crit damage is only between 250-290%.

I wish so much that they would do what diablo 2 does and show you a chart that has what your true dps is.
