So we're about a month from release on this and we still don't have a full setlist. When was the full setlist for GH3 announced?

I like Aerosmith, but I haven't touched Guitar Hero since I got Rock Band. I'm am not even considering gettting this, especially for full price.

            Me too, CM.

I'm really looking forward to playing the 1973-1979 era material -- my favorite years of the band.

              I will snag this.

from what I gathered (no link), they have fixed the note chart problems of GH III.

I just wish the Aerosmith was more 90's driven than their earlier stuff.

Were the note charts really that bad on GH3? I just picked up GH2 a couple of days ago, so I have basically just played GH3 and have made it to the final set on Expert. I've read a lot of complaining about the 3 button chords, but what other issues are there? Just wondering.

I hated most of the note charts on GH III, one of my few complaints about the game. Too many unnecessary three note chords, and some just felt way too out of place. Plus, I felt the sound was coming a little earlier than the notes themselves, so I felt I had to strum earlier to compensate.

I read that the hammer-ons and pull-offs will be "less mushy". Does that mean that the hammer-ons are going to be like they were in GH2 instead of GH3?

I agree 100%, 70s Aerosmith is light years better than anything else they ever did. Looking forward to playing this

I hope they're more or less the same. I just hope the timing window is much smaller, however.

In a word...yes. Don't get me wrong, I play a ton of GH III and I am not one of those guys who refuse to play it, but in a sense, it is all messed up. Way too much overcharting and the hitting windows are gigantic. The combination of these two make a sloppy game. More or less what GH III did was try to make songs harder than they should be but yet made the windows huge. Just ends up a clusterf on certain songs.

But I know for a fact they recognized their error (to what degree, not sure) and fixed it for their upcoming GH games.

About a week until this comes out. Apparently Best Buy is supposed to have demo stands up this weekend or something like that. I'm definitely getting this just because I love Guitar Hero.

I've heard that some Best Buy's and Toys R Us's had demo stands up last week. I've seen the final track list (check wikipedia) and overall I'm pretty disappointed. There is a LOT of pre Mirrors material. No Janie's Got a Gun, Cryin, Eat the Rich or Dude Looks Like a Lady. The only post Mirrors songs are Livin' in an Elevator, Rag Doll and Livin' on the Edge.

I'm not that excited for this game. I'll probably give it a rent though.
