not sure what to do on a part early in the game

I get to a part where I choose which direction I want to go, rooftop or the building. I get through there and this big monster comes out of the tunnel. I fired everything I have into his head but he doesn't go down. Am I supposed to shoot the guns on him or just him ??

Hardcore in Gears 2 is definitely easier.

Yeah I thought so. The sniper now takes out most locust with a headshot where in the first one, if one of them was wearing the helmet, it would knock that off first.

Also they don't take as many bullets to put them down as in the first one.

What combo of weapons does everyone use? I always go with the sniper and lancer and never drop the sniper. Anyone here prefer the locust gun over the lancer?

not a worm. Its big and has legs. Right after the part where you or the other guys mortar the roof of a building to get in

I think, if i remember correctly, if you shoot the weapons on his back he blows up...

You're talking about the big Cave Troll Looking thing right?

You have to use the mortar to blow him up. Get it ready and fire it a second right before he steps out. It should take 3-4 shots to blow him to bits.

Couple questions, i only got to play it a few times last night. But I thought you could continue from the last spot on horde mode, like if you got to level 25 and you all died you could come back and try level 25 again. Also is there not just a normal "team slayer" type match like halo where players respawn?

There is no continues in Horde mode. If all your teammates are dead, it's over and no more starting over or retrying.

The only match mode that players respawn almost right away which is death match rules is the leader game mode.

You have to use the mortar to blow him up. Get it ready and fire it a second right before he steps out. It should take 3-4 shots to blow him to bits.

I have trouble with that mortar for some reason. I know you press L trigger to set up and R to fire but mine seem to blow up in the air. Can't aim them for some reason.

You hold it to release it at a certain distance - 50m-60m-70m and so forth.

From what I remember, when you're on the roof and somewhere in the middle of it, it will take around 70-90m to get it done.

the "Territories" games all have respawns.

yea I wish there was a flat out death match respawn game or a capture the flag with respawns.

I never got into GoW1 due to the no respawn War Zone rules and am only enjoying the online game now due to Territories games. although at least the death cam is much much better than goW1

Just got done playing my first horde mode with sportsdude. We made it to Wave 30 the second time. Was really intense and fun.

I think this mode makes the game worth it for me.

Maybe I'm just a Gears Fanboy...

I'll be on a bit later if anyone wants to "Horde" it up or just play some regular MP. Gamertag is same as username here.

that was awesome. the thing is, we could've gone so much further on avalanche if the two randoms on our team didn't suck. I was checking their scores throughout the game and they were considerably below you, my friend and myself. the BIG P1MP1N dude died 11 times before I died twice.
