Re: Am I the only one on OS who actually keeps the majority of games I buy?
I don't get a ton of games so I usually keep most of mine. I only play sports and FPS with the exception being Mass Effect so I generally have games that have a lot of replay value.
The three games I've traded in for the 360 were MLB 2k7, Madden 08 and Rainbow Six: Vegas. I probably would've traded in UEFA CL 06-07 eventually but the disc literally cracked itself while in the system so no go there. Kinda regret trading in Vegas but I was sick of it at the time and besides, the new one is just a couple weeks away from release.Lux y VeritasComment

Used to keep them - had all the NCAA games going back to NCAA 98 until a couple of years ago.
A game I know I'll keep playing, such as COD4, I'll keep. But sports games or games I know I'm done with, I trade in. There's a store near me that gives me cash for games, so I do that rather than the EB trade-in. And yeah, you could say I get screwed paying $60 for a game and then getting $10 for it. But I look at it as though I paid $50 to rent it for a year - which is a better deal than I'll get from Blockbuster.Comment

Re: Am I the only one on OS who actually keeps the majority of games I buy?
I always kept games and when I got the PSone in '99, I decided to trade in all my Nintendo 8 bit w/console and my Genesis games. All except for the '98 titles like NBA Live 98 and NHL 98 etc...
After about 6 months I could kick myself. I missed Super Tecmobowl and some other games. The $$$ I got was a fair trade in, but not much so it was not worth it. Never again.
I go back to '99 with PSone and '01 with PS2 at about 15 games a year it adds up. Mostly sports titles so I do occasionally play them, and like having the rosters. I have a few other titles like GTA and Scarface. I am only an ok gamer with non-sports games so its always a challenge.Comment

I still have all of my genesis, dreamcast, and xbox games. I'm not selling any of them unless they somehow get worth a lot of money.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I've kept all but 2 360 games (Madden 08 and Soldier of Fortune), the rest are still in my collection. I sold a crap load of my XBox and PS2 games and I wish I hadn't as I still re-visit some Xbox games occasionaly (Fable, Outrun 2). I've still got all of my wrestling games from NES, Sega Genesis, N64, Playstation 1, and Playstation 2.Favorite Sports Teams

Re: Am I the only one on OS who actually keeps the majority of games I buy?
I sell games on amazon when I think I won't play them. If they're newer I can get most of my money back.
I have about 14 xbox 360 games at the moment. Since I have a good number I am still playing, lately I have been buying less. I only bought 2 new games so far this year, Frontlines and Zack & Wiki.
I may buy back a game I sold, but it usually works out in my favor. For example I sold GRAW2 early last fall for about $40. When the new maps came out last month I picked it up again for $20.Last edited by Pete1210; 03-07-2008, 11:14 AM.Comment

Cheapassgamer is great, its where i trade my games now. NO MORE GAMESTOP GIVING ME 10% of what i payed for a game.
I cant stand to have over 3 games at a time because i'd never play them all, i usually give the games away to my little cousins or trade them on CAG.PSN: BigHermComment

I keep most of my games. I try to sale my previous year sports games on ebay while I can, but non sports games I usually keep. I can tell pretty early on if I don't like a game, so I'll sale that one quick on ebay before the value drops. but if it is a non sports game that I like (Ratchet and Clank, Burnout, etc) I keep them just in case I want to play them again once they are played out.

I used to trade in my games. Since the next gen systems came out I've only traded in NFS most wanted because I got all of the achievements. I'll never trade in any of my games again.http://twitter.com/sageinfinite

Re: Am I the only one on OS who actually keeps the majority of games I buy?
I really only buy shooters and sports games as well.
I mean there is no reason for my to keep COD 3 or RB6 Vegas, when COD 4 is out now and Vegas 2 is a few weeks away, so yeah I get rid of them.
Same for sports, if the new version is coming out soon, why keep the older version?
Games I sometimes keep longer are games like GTA that I can just pick up and play around with. Games like Bioshock are a waste for me, because once I beat them, I have now desire to play them again, even if there are other things to unlock etc... so I would rent games like that.
I really don't buy games much anymore unless I know I am going to be able to play them online and for a while. IE sports and shooters.Comment
