Holy name change!

Yeah, I got it out yesterday. It was a movie, though. However I did try and put a test CD in there, and strangely it actually inserted. Though it still couldn't eject, so I had to take it out while the PS3 was still opened up.

The way I see it, until I have it fixed I could always put a disc in there that I know I'll play for a long time before I officially get it fixed or have to change it out. That sounds weird, though. That game may have to be Rock Band 2.

Though I really want to try out these new maps! Tis an unfortunate situation indeed.

Yeah, it was time for a name change. LOL!

You might need to get a whole laser assembly drive for the PS3 if it comes down to it. Those run about $60-$80.

I can't begin to explain how the new maps and the fixes have improved this game so much!!! Gotta give the Dev some credit on this one as they have really brought life back to this game. Peace!!

Played my first 8 to 10 rounds of multiplayer. It was a breath of fresh with its calm approach. Like many others I have been playing COD: MW2, so it is a much slower gameplay.

There were no respawn matches availabe, so I went right into ranked matches. Managed 2 kills which allowed teammates to detonate a bomb or something. Like it so far.

Control Scheme

What changes have you all made or scheme did you all switch to. I am currently playing on default, but having issues. Thank you in advance. I play MW2 often, has anybody attempted to set similar.

Sausage, I think the only thing I have changed was to put the sensitivity up all the way and the dead zone all the way down.

I will switch those two settings as well. I have played several matches and actually surviving and in one game of breach won the game for the team. This game definitely makes you feel paranoid, because you never know who may be near.

Not sure how new you are to the Socom franchise.... Do you know about your gun being "hot"?

Very new. I am not familiar with all the nuiances of the game yet.

I recommend reading this, especially about the "hot gun". Really comes in handy when its down to 3 on 1 and you are searching for their last guy in modes like elimination.

downloading patch now and gonna try the new maps later. Which clan are you guys using now ?? I was using the IW-80 A2 which I liked a lot. Not sure what new guns there are

damn it is taking forever to download. First the latest patch and now the add on. Must be 2 hours for each one at least.

Yeah, it made me happy to be a multiconsole owner. I was playing another game waiting for this one. I believe it took a little less than 45 minutes.
