Between Rapture, and Virginal this thread is getting too religious hehe. Lets just drop it and let the thread redirect it self from the near hijacking.

In Team Xbox's article about embargos they mention they'll be posting a GTA IV preview on January 23 (this Wednesday) about the 1 hour demo they were sent.

Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4
TeamXBOX Preview
What we saw was a game that contained many things that will be familiar to fans of the series. The pause screen looked to be much the same, sporting the same font that we’ve come to expect when we hit the Start button to refer to the map, save the game, etc. In the gameplay we were shown, we saw the playable character, Niko Bellic, able to jack cars away from their drivers in the streets of a gritty city that resembled the New York/New Jersey area. We got a demonstration of a few missions, which were received by visiting a key person in the story, which, in turn, brought up a cutscene with numerous lively personalities from the criminal side of the tracks…and lots of graphic dialogue. We noted that each car Niko entered had a radio playing in it, and the radio offered a variety of stations with different types of music or talk styles (and humorous commercials interspersed in between).http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

VideoGamer Preview
Niko sits perched atop a high-rise building in the financial district of Liberty City, the wind swirling around him. He is crouched, poised, surveying everything around him. He can see hundreds of buildings in the distance - houses, skyscrapers, shops, towers, all in glorious detail. He can see cars driving below, oblivious to the chaos that is about to ensue. He can see a blinding blue sky, almost cloudless, and an aeroplane casually gliding overhead. He can see a river, one that dissects the city, glistening below. The Liberty City skyline is busy to say the least. But it is not the skyline or the beautiful view that Niko is interested in. Oh no. He is interested in the three unsuspecting Mafia henchmen whose job it is to keep people like Niko out of the building site they are protecting.http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

"After six months of waiting, our Grand Theft Auto IV first hand coverage returns. And with last year's delay now old news, this really is the final straight. In May last year, we took an in-depth introductory look at the game and cruised around the streets of Broker. July saw our second massive preview, which examined various game missions and took us all over Algonquin. This is our third massive preview."http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

IGN UK Preview
A lot can happen in six months. Just look back over the last half a year: England were knocked out of Euro 2008, the Spice Girls got back together and Dumbledore came out of the closet. So with that in mind we were anxious and excited in equal measure when we got the call from Rockstar to check out the latest version of Grand Theft Auto IV. After all, it's been six months since we last walked the streets of Liberty City, so could all of the little niggles we'd noticed in previous versions – the stuttering frame-rate, restricted freedom of the city and overall lack of GTA's signature humour – have all be ironed out in a few months?http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

Where to go after San Andreas? To make matters even worse for Rockstar Games, it's the next-gen debut of GTA; to say expectations are virtually insurmountable would be a monumental understatement. Still, it seems Rockstar North is supremely confident of re-inventing the open-world experience they established on the last generation of consoles, arguably the most noteworthy genre of that era.http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

GamesRadar Preview
It's been a full five months since our last real look at Grand Theft Auto IV, and all we've seen since then is a single trailer, the box art and a trickle of occasional details. That trickle turned into a spurt last week, however, when we met up with Rockstar to see what they've been up to - which, incidentally, appears to have been making the game a whole lot crazier than it was the last time we saw it.http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4
I read both gamespot and 2 ign's previews and I'm pretty much sold. The only question for me is that I'd like tons and tons of indoor enviro's to make it more realistic, but regardless this will be a must-buy for me. I've really liked the past couple of gta's (they grew on me the more i played) especially vice city. (gotta love ray liotta)Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
