    Grand Theft Auto IV

I have high hopes for this game. My far out prediction is this time around Rockstar is going to make a decent story, give a good boost in the graphics department, and add a few minor things here and there. But the major thing will be online. And I'm thinking the online will be amazing.

What do you expect from this game? Will it use these next-gen consoles to their fullest? Do you think we'll be able to go online? You can elaborate on your ideas if you choose. There's no concrete information on this game so it won't hurt to get creative

I hope they give it a complete rehaul. Vice City was fun, but San Andreas was boring within a week.

I thought the opposite. I hated Vice City and loved San Andreas.

Although 3 is still the best.

Vice city was too much like GTA3 and it got really boring. San Andreas was fresh and really fun.

There was a post on xboxic.com that the Rockstar studio that does GTA was hiring a network tech for work on an upcoming game. It could be for table tennis though I think they really have to go with some sort of online mode since Saint's Row will have online gangs and stuff. Here's the link

Me and you are the few that think this...

SA had boring missions, no epic missions like Vice city..Vice had this awesome theme it was great. I hated maintaining a guy, i want the main character and thats it..i hated the different appearences.

Vice city was alot more remorable in every fact

I couldn't stand VC. It's the only GTA game I've played that I didn't actually finish.

SA on the other hand - wow. I absolutely loved some of the cars, and flying around and parachuting a hell of a lot of fun. Amazing game. I hope it's more like SA than it is VC.

IMO, San Andreas was the first one that really lived up to the hype. The others were fun, but got old quickly. San Andreas was a great game imo.

Hopefully they'll continue to improve the stories and add more variety to the missions.

I thought the good part of SA was becuase it was so deep and soo huge. But missions got boring. And parts of the game just made me want to stop playing it. i never beat sand andreas becuase at times i was disinterested.

In vice city rather. It kept my attention the whole time, and there are missions that i can still remember (2 or 3 years later). Possibly becuase vice city was a more exciting city then california

im not shure if this thread is about liberty city stories or the london gta comming out. But if its in london i dont see that being very exciting. London is not a very gripping city. As seen in getaway

                  fingers crossed tho

I have always liked the open world concept that GTA introduced, but I feel things got too lost with way too many side missions and a storyline which was all over the place.

Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4

You know what it was? SA was expected to bring that different thing which it did but it wasn't revolutionary I think. I personally never played 3 like everyone else probably did. I heard it was tight but I never got around to getting down with it. SA got boring because the story got lost in all the stupid traveling and stuff. At the beginning, the game was fantastic because it was new and it was something I could relate to. However, the side missions didn't have FLIP to do with the main story. It got slightly good, but it just died to me. I don't even consider playing it.

VC on the other hand had more of a sensible story mode that I remember. I loved being able to buy places and stuff. That was tight. And the old songs and radio were so tight. Loved how it sounded and all. The game just seemed so nice. Loved the Miami Vice theme.

SA could have been better if those little things would have mattered like keeping territory and stuff like that. I probably messed around with that part of the mission for about 15 minutes and then got transfered to the "Badlands" and stuff.I just wish that the good stuff was added and the story was more in depth.

And I think that London will be a fantastic place to put a story in. The only reason Getaway didn't get love was because of the AWFUL controls and movement. The game seemed to be pretty tight except that the controls took you out of the game before you could get into it. Maybe if The Getaway Franchise gets some sense and does some better quality control on that aspect, they'll be a factor in the video game industry.

I didn't get too far into the SA story at all, so I may sound stupid but... What is the Badlands?

I think it's like the little "trailer park" towns between the cities. I don't know if that's the exact name but they made those land to keep the game interesting between the long traveling. They didn't want the traveling between the three cities to be boring and all. They wanted it to be action beyond the big cities.

                              Wouldn't it be GTA 6?

Seriously though I loved 3, one of my favorite games ever, it was such a new and refreshing game. Vice City was fun but didn't keep me hooked like 3 did. I only played San Andreas for a few days before I realized I had just had enough.
