Okay here we go..... GTA4: The Future!

Takes place on post-apocalyptic New York which is completely inhabited by gangs and low-lifes as most middle and upper class humans have moved to the Moon and Mars. You are trying to earn enough money to leave the Earth to journey to the Mafia run commercial Moon space station or the Alien Yakuza people's bustling Mars tourist attraction. Pimped out spaceships, laser guns, and extraterrestrial cocaine. It would be sweet.

I loved SA, it just sucked once you got to Vegas. Vegas was the single most boring city in any GTA game. All you could do is gamble and buy lap dances....yawn.


But as for cars, planes, choppers, guns, stats and music, SA was hands down the very best GTA game. Dont know about yall but gang banging was fun. Not the territory part but moreso the riding around with the homies killing stuff. The airplanes alone has Vice City beat. SA was like my matchbox-hotwheel heaven. I enjoyed the cars alone over anything in GTA 3 and VC.

How come ya'll think it will be awful in London? They could really bring a lot to the table with that. Thinking of London or just Europe in general, I think something like a SNATCH type of atmosphere. The hustle is different over there. I can really get into it. What do ya'll think about when ya'll think of London?

London is a lot more exciting then you think. There's actually a very strong gang element to it. (or at least there was right on up to the early '80s) I have a book about history of organized crime in London and trust me it was very much like the old gangster days in the US.

What also made the gangster element in London so great was that you had different ethnicities controlling very different rackets like gun running, drugs, the numbers game, prostitution etc et al.

I think a game set in London of the 1950s would work well. The only criticism of the GTA series I have is that it's a bit too open-ended. I like games where you have that open ended setting but has a bit of a linear storyline that you can follow. I'm not saying I want a totally linear game but I just feel that the story aspect needs to be tightened up.

Think of the possibilities. You could buy crack then run for city council. Instead of getting chased by the Army the Secret Service could try to get ya!

In all actuality I just want to see what they could do with it.. As long as they threw in the neighboring counties and areas. I'd love to see PG County (Where I grew up) in a game. But I'd have to settle for DC =P

Cant really explain. I just seems like a place full of visual landmarks but not much history in the form of violence. Then you'd have all those Euro cars....ick!! London is not popular for the drug trade, no crooked cops and no gangs. Instead of Big Foot, we'd be searching for Jack the Ripper.

I had the same idea a while back, I think it would be perfect. You could work your way up from a Crack dealer to President of the United states. I would make the game circa mid to late 80's and have some classic GO-GO songs form Chuck Brown, Junk Yard and Rare Essence.

There are all kinds of possibilities for setting. I think a Yakuza theme would be pretty cool. GTA during the prohibition era would be interesting, but without a lot of the fun aircraft in current games the gameplay would suffer.

I thought SA was the best GTA as far as gameplay went, but the storyline and setting was uninteresting. I prefer the mafia type stuff over the gang crap. And the missions were a bit lacking, there really weren't any difficult ones (aside from pilot school), and at times I just didn't care about the characters.

A better setting, refined targeting/combat engine, and some new stuff would make the next GTA successful. Hopefully with the PS3 or 360 they're able to make the world even more interactive and open-ended, giving the player access to every building would be awesome.

London is too compact for me and I also have no interest in london. Leave the geataway to that, I want to do stuff in american cities.

You know what I'd freaking want? I'd want to have it where those different fighting styles really were in depth and distinguished during the gameplay. I can definitely see London as being great. If there was a way to incorporate the gang AND mafia, then it would be hot. What if it was a Grand Theft Auto where you were trying to get your set/gang to increase in power and strength in order to compete and possibly establish themselves as a type of mafia? That would be hot. They could even try to have some elaborate back story that could tie into some real history. I'm getting ideas. If only I had some type of idea on how to make a game.

What if it were a way to make it a type of Grand Theft Auto world type of game where you start as a little neighborhood gang and your goal is to be the biggest kingpin. You can take out different gangs around the neighborhood and city. Then you could go "downtown and take a few blocks. Rumble with one mafia while befriending another. Of course, it has to be some type of story cause if it is too open, then it does get boring. SA seemed to be that way seriously. Just was a dead story after the first 2 hours. I'm getting hyped cause I like those ideas.

Microsoft is currently trying their hardest to secure the next version of GTA as an Xbox 360 exclusive. They claim MS is going full out in this. Even if MS does not secure it as a full exclusive, they will try to get it as a timed exclusive (similar to Sony last gen)

Wow, that would be H-U-G-E, if (very big if) Microsoft got this game to be exclusive, or even a timed exclusive.
