Now why would you go think I'd do a thing like that?

I check the GTA forum every now and then but, there is no telling when any info will come out.

Well, this isn't news so sorry for getting any of you hyped up.

But I was just wondering if any of you were interested in adding each other and having some fun on GTA. With MoH going out the window very soon I'll be resorting back to GTA (Ditched it temporally for a few other games), and yeah, was just wondering if any of you were up to it.

I'm only on PS3 unfortunately, and have TBoGT for any of you that do as well.

        LOL I know
everytime the thread gets bumped, we are expecting news on V.
but yea this is the IV thread, so we shouldnt lol

I fully expect the next Rockstar news to be abvout GTA.
the IV collection is released, the latest [and possibly last] Red Dead DLC is out. Agent is MIA, Max Payne is always a question mark. I think next, they drop V news.

I am picking up the Complete Collection this week so i will be down with going online...

Just got back onto PSN for the long haul, so I'm down. I have a lot of school work to do the next couple of weeks though, so I apologize if I'm not conveniently available during that time.

            re: Grand Theft Auto IV

Hey fellas I have not played GTA4 yet, so I plan on getting the full collection. I have a few questions:

            1. Is the game real difficult? I ask this, because I can't always devote a ton of times to my games, so I skip out on games that are extremely difficult.

            2. Does the story progress if I skip out on side missions and just focus on the story? Any pros and cons to this?

            Thanks

The game gets pretty challenging in the second half of the game, and there are certainly a ton of missions to complete to finish the story, but I wouldn't say they are difficult to the point where I wouldn't want to play it. The two expansions have checkpoints in the missions, so that helps quite a bit, they are also much shorter than the main game.

You don't need to do any side missions to finish the story. You can just go from story mission to story mission. You will miss out of some of the aspects of the game by not doing any (unlocking abilities that characters will do for you, character development, the ridiculous depth to the game and the city, etc.), but you don't really miss any story by not doing any.

                re: Grand Theft Auto IV

GTA IV is astonishingly easier than anything in III, Vice City, or San Andreas. No timed missions, no stealth missions (that I can recall), a much more feasible wanted level system (in a vehicle), and a cover system for those shootout missions. You should be fine with no cheats lol.

That's true. Rockstar definitely toned it down with GTA IV. I found the missions in TLAD & BoGT tougher('Sexy Time' is a *****).

To me, San Andreas is the hardest('Flying School', 'N.O.E', 'Wu Zi Mu', 'Farewell My Love'), followed by VCS, BoGT, TLAD, VC, GTA III, GTA IV & LCS. I HATE auto/boat racing & RC missions. I don't use cheat codes - I'm able to complete them after several tries, but it does get annoying.

I had problems with later missions like Ruff Rider and I'm on sixth playthrough.SHould I just go for achievements/trophies.

I have both the PS3 and xbox 360 version(But not sure which version is best to avoid and play)

Yes, GTA4 on 1 disk and the expansions on 1 disk. Can't wait to sink my teeth in.
