That's what they all say until they can't find a copy.

Why not preorder? I don't see anything wrong with knowing you will for sure get the game.

Of course with a game like this i don't see a problem. Every place will have them.

When have you seen a game sold out? It's never happened with anythinhg I wanted.

This game isn't slated to be a sleeper, so it's just pointless to preorder to me. Every big box store in every city will have them. I did have to drive around alot to get a game like APf2k8 though, as many places didn't even know what the hell it was, or only got like 5 copies. The only concern one could have is if 2k can keep up with actually getting as many games out as quickly as MS did with Halo 3.

The only reason I'd preorder anything would be if the LE extras are something I want. I don't really like anything offered by the GTA4 LE, so I'll get one of the hundreds of copies best buy, walmart, toys r us, circuit city, gamestop, sears, target, etc will get.

Even with All Pro I got it on day 1 from a Hollywood Video.

Some smaller games I want end up ebing sold out.

Maybe for people they see no reason to pre-order but for me I see no reason not too. I don't lose any money, I don't have to worry about a copy of the game being at the first store I go to. Sure I could not preorder and then end up going to a few different stores. I'd rather know my copy is there for me to pick up when I can and not have to worry about it.


But back on topic... this time in 2 weeks I will be sitting at home playing the game for about the 7th hour or so... Can't wait!

I remember that - I got mine and there was only like 20 of us that had it at the time...i had about 60 friend requests from people asking how the game was. In toronto you can get games always on the ship/release date...most stores though people argue and say 'no, that's the shipping date' ...here it doesn't matter, whatever you see is when you will be able get it. apf i got in an indi store in toronto that always gets the game when they say, ...so at the time there was barely anyone else who had the game...less than 10 people who had xboxlive had the game when i first booted it up.

They make interest off your money that you can be making.

No point in pre-ordering to make their pockets fatter if you have the available means to buy a game outright.

Obviously if you live in a smaller town pre-ordering makes sense.

Most stores won't let you pre-order the day before if they don't have enough copies. They're already on the way to the store. (shipped)

That completely defeats the purpose of pre-ordering.

Yea, i've already heard that some stores have stopped taking Pre-Orders altogether because of the number of amount of people that have pre-ordered it.

The game will most likely be in stores by next Tuesday or Wednesday. Its a major release so it gets street dated and sent extremely early to make sure they are all there and the game is released all at once.
